fluxtapust
Another side note, I'm still able to launch the game via the normal steam menu, download mods from the in game menu, and they work. The full list of kids I want isn't available though. But I've heard, and on the standard edition I used before, that if you started modding this wouldn't be possible. If this helps you diagnose at all... Thanks so much for your time by the way

fluxtapust
What do you mean "If you started modding this wouldn't be possible"?As in launching the game from the steam menu would just crash instantly, wouldn't see the opening bethesda screen or whatever. Downloads: C:/Users/sean/AppData/Roaming/Vortex/Downloads Mod staging folder: C:/Users/sean/AppData/Roaming/Vortex/skyrimse/mods however I download manually from the interwebs, it goes to my download folder, i drag it to a desktop "mods" folder, then drag it to vortex. Why not just drag it from the Downloads folder to Vortex instead of adding an unnecessary extra step? Also, why not just download it Vortex by clicking "Download with Mod Manager"? Or, just use INSTALL FROM FILE on the Vortex MODS tab and pick the file from the Downloads folder? BE ause the way you're doing it, you're going to have one big DOWNLOADS folder with hundreds of mods in for several different games, and you're not going to know which game each mod goes to. Thjat's why I have my DOWNLOAD and MOD STAGING folder set up like this D:\Games\Vortex Downloads\SkyrimSeD:\Games\Vortex Downloads\FalloutNVD:\Games\Vortex Downloads\Fallout4D:\Games\Vortex Downloads\Fallout3 And my MODs folder like this D:\Games\Vortex Mods\SkyrimSeD:\Games\Vortex Mods\FalloutNVD:\Games\Vortex Mods\Fallout4D:\Games\Vortex Mods\Fallout3
fluxtapust
I don't currently mod more than one game. I put it in a mods folder so I can save them, because this process has involved several uninstalls. I don't install using "Download with vortex" on nexus because it limits install speed and number. HOWEVER --Someone on reddit suggested switching to MO2, now everything works ... so... i'm good. Thanks for your help though my friend
