SomewhereInTime
You've probably seen "unmoving plaid", where an animated character or object has a pattern that's just shown as a flat texture and doesn't change as they move. Here's Stan the salesman from Monkey Island to demonstrate. It doesn't really happen for 3D characters because the texture is applied to their surface, but it was worth doing it for Stan in 3D to get him right. I think it would fun if Benny's check jacket had the same effect, but how could it be done? Edited November 4, 2019 by SomewhereInTime
Radioactivelad
I'm no expert, but I would imagine it would have to be some kind of shader.I'm not sure it would even be possible with a traditional mod; It would have to be handled by some extension like ENB or Reloaded. SomewhereInTime
Thanks for your reply! It's certainly beyond me, I'm guessing the shader would apply a sort of chroma key/greenscreen effect to the outfit?
HadToRegister
Ahahaha, When I saw the post title in the main forum, I immediately thought of Stan!
SomewhereInTime
I wonder, is there a way to attach a flat texture to an object to appear between the object and the camera, in the shape of the object's silhouette?
