Need help adding the Prototype Gauss rifle to BoS level lists

Hello, I am a new mod enthusiast who has only tinkered with FO4Edit primarily to fix broken things in other mods. Recently I have attempted to add the Prototype Gauss Rifle to the BoS leveled lists but to no avail, as the best I managed is to get them to have it in their inventory but they spawn with other weapons that they use instead. I was wondering if someone could aid me through the process of injecting it into the leveled lists or failing that, could point me towards a guide on how to do this correctly using FO4Edit?
