Kalorean
Hey Guys, having build a new rig, I wanted to reinstall Skyrim as well as Fallout IV for the first time using Vortex. I saved the 600+ mods I had downloaded and used with Vortex before, but it seems I didn't set up the directories in the same way I had them on my old rig. I copied the downloaded mods into my new mod folder, and Vortex finds all of them, however roughly half of all mods do not show a version in Vortex, when I want to install them. Instead of as it should be Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch 4.2.0 they appear like their full archive name in the download folder: Unofficial Skyrim special Edition Patch-266-4.2.0.1569704142.7z Any chance of fixing that without needing to redownload every file? Help would be much appreciated Kalorean
HadToRegister
Double Click on the mod, a panel opens up on the right, change the SOURCE to Nexus Mods, then click GUESS in the ID box underneath
Kalorean
HadToRegister, tyvm for Your answer. It helps in correcty finding the mod-id, which is great! However, it doesn't fill in the Version. The line stays empty. It also doesn't change the Mod Name to what it would properly show, had I redownloaded it via Vortex. Tried it with a couple of different mods. Kalorean

Kalorean Once you get the mod IDs, you should go to the MODS TAB in Vortex, and press CHECK FOR UPDATES in the menu at the top
Kalorean
I did that, unfortunately nothing happens. I guess I'll have to do a proper redownload and stop messing with the installation next time.

I guess I'll have to do a proper redownload and stop messing with the installation next time. That will be the easiest way. You might want to remove the original mods from your Download folder so you don't end up with a folder full of Mod.7zMod (1).7zMod (2).7z etc.
HadToRegister
One other thing to try.Move all of your mods out of the Downloads folder.Go to the MODS TAB in Vortex. If the DROP FILE(S) are isn't open, click on the Orange up arrow in the very bottom right hand Now try dragging one of your mods that you moved, to the DROP FILE(S) area.I'm curious if Vortex treats that like a download mod and grabs the proper information from the site. Kalorean
Will do that back to you in a minute.
Kalorean
Same effect like the way you described above. It does guess the ID correctly, even infers the author, but sticks with the complete filename in the Mod-Tab. Ok then... redownload it is! Thx for the help anyways, much appreciated.
