VORTEX BROKEN BEYOUND REPAIR!

I was using the new Vortex mod manager only because I have too. Only for downloading mods. I was uninstalling Vaultman30's Armor Extended when unholy hell broke loose. It messed up my hard drive files. But it wasn't Vortex's fault??? So said a message.

 

From this point on Vortex BROKEN!

 

Restarted my PC ran check disk. A f***ing mess.

Ran Seagate tools; Drive Passed all tests.

 

Vortex Still BROKEN!

 

Because there was no way of purging mods and uninstalling Vortex the "SAFE" way I opted for plan B

 

Uninstalled Vortex with mods files still locked by the later said program.

 

Reinstalled Vortex; Now I get a big starting logo "VORTEX" but still nothing...

 

Plan C You're getting uninstalled... I'm not asking Third party unistaller software...

 

Same results.

 

If I have to reinstall Skyrim I'm gonna be pissed! I just finished modding the game and had to make two more changes. I don't have time to game much any more, so when I take time I want s*** to work.

 

I prefer the old Nexus Mod manager but Vortex is their security answer to the Breach.

 

I had a third party inform me of the breach.

 

Vortex just like the KingsIsland Roller Coaster... It's taken me for a ride. [insert slap face emoji]

No you don't HAVE to use Vortex, the updated version of NMM is freely available to download, RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE VORTEX DOWNLOAD PAGE.

2. If you were using Vortex for ONLY DOWNLOADING MODS, then What Mod Manager did you use to uninstall Vaultman's Armor Extended?

HOW were you uninstalling "Vaultman's Armor Extended" exactly?

Also, What were you uninstalling it with? Because Vortex can't uninstall Mods it didn't install, NO Mod Manager can do that.

 

Your description is way too angry for me to get a clear picture of what actually happened, because half the time it sounds like you were using TWO mod managers...

So lets wait until you calm down and explain this more clearly

I have a similar issue where Vortex won't load its own extensions to run but would launch to the dashboard. I couldn't launch any games because of some extension called "gamebryo" and its subsidiaries.

 

There was no way to re-enable the extensions, or to repair them.

 

So some google-ing and some forum browsing all pointed to a uninstall/reinstall Vortex.

 

Uninstalled Vortex, shutdown, boot up, ran Vortex Installer, Vortex attempts to load and never does. Some times I get a long ass error message. Which, for some inexplicable reason, won't let me copy the text off it. Here's my attempt to transcribe it.

My options are "Ignore" and "Quit". If I ignore then Vortex's splash screen stays up but the program never loads. If I quit then the splash screen goes away.
