zed140
I'm playing Fallout4, After uploading a mod with images on Nexus, Vortex show a croped version of the primary image instead of the mod image banner. Please change that to use the banner. Pickysaurus
I'm not clear on what you're referring to? You're talking about your mod here? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42053 I ask because it's the only mod I see on your page that uses a "banner" instead of the expected "tile" form for the primary image. Vortex will show whatever is the primary image for the mod, however this information is cached so it may not update until you delete and reinstall the mod. zed140
Yes, it's that. I must add the banner as pic in the gallery and set it as primary image next to show entirely on vortex. Instead of that I want that vortex use directly the banner without the need to add it as pic, because the banner is not created to be a gallery pic normally. Also for the difficulty of approximating the resulting size in Vortex. If I use a normal gallery pic (1920x1080) instead of the banner (1400x400) as primary image, then Vortex show just around 33% of the pic starting from the middle. Tannin42
I'm not sure what you're saying.Vortex does not crop that image. The image can't be wider than 256px horizontally and higher than 192px vertically but it's neither cut nor does the aspect ratio change. This was never supposed to be a banner but more like a 4:3 or 16:9 preview image. zed140
Vortex use a reduced ratio around of 1400x400 for his thumbnails in the dashboard/new files, but we give it a primary 1920x1080 image. As the result the two image are not compatible for resizing without cropping, deformating or black borders. To test that, simply create a mod, take a 1920x1080 screenshot, set it as primary, publish it on Nexus. Next see how the screenshot appear in Vortex and you will see the thumbnail is not simply the reduction of your primary image, but a cropped version. Because the ratios are not compatibles. I say a reduced ratio around of 1400x400, because after I used the banner (from Leila preset) as primary instead of a gal image, Vortex show it nearly entirely. zed140
Another interesting point that I had not noticed, it's the difference between your vortex screenshot and mine, they are not same....Your thumbnail is correct but not mine... Tannin42
Well, that's a completely different location! Pickysaurus and myself thought you were talking about the mods page.Yes, the image in the New Files and News section is cropped to fit. But the answer is effectively the same: We get only one image from the server, in the case of the "New Files" sections it's an rss feed, we do not _pick_ which image is included there.
