I just realized something horribly immersion breaking in the beginning of the game.

So you're sipping on your coffee, maybe reading grognak, or staring at the vault guy going door to door like some weirdo. Next thing you know your boi is crying cause he needs changed. So Codsworth changes him quickly with sounds of nothing but shaun screaming coming from your boi's room. You walk in and see codsworth and shaun are both clean and finished.

 

What's wrong here? How did Codsworth change him so quickly and cleanly if he only has 1 claw arm? That's right you know what this game needs. A mod. What should this mod do? It should absolutely encompass you in the immersion of hearing shaun scream even louder as you hear Codsworth's circular saw and torch arm assisting in changing Shaun. What kind of freak can change a kid with only one arm? Not Codsworth. Now that he's using all of his arms. What kind of freak changes a kid cleanly each and every time? Not Codsworth, as when you walk in now he'll be covered in baby waste. What an absolute immersion masterpiece this game will be if and when this mod comes into existence.

Heyas Convict. There are a lot of people that have issues with the start scene after character creation. There are some people that think Bethesda really dropped the ball there and rushed through it.

(Which, Beth has a reputation for doing things like that. As well as understaffing projects, and putting them on severe deadlines. Which results in the rush-jobs like we see in the starting scene).

 

Now, I personally cannot give an unbiased opinion on your idea/view. I've created so many new characters that I pretty much bypass the entire thing, I go straight from character creation to coming out of the cryo pod. And before I used mods that let me do that, I was highly impatiently waiting for the timers to run down, to activate the sequences to let me run to the vault entrance.

Basically what I'm saying, is that for me, it's a huge interruption to my workflow, and I skip it, so it doesn't matter to me. NOT that I'm saying that your idea or your opinion doesn't count.

(Then again, I couldnt take up a project like that anyway, because adding stuff to a scene like that, is waaaay beyond my meager abilities, hahaha)

 

I do know that for some people, details count. If your idea gets the interest of people that have the abilities, the time, and the patience to put them in the game.... that would be really cool for the people who enjoy that kind of thing, and don't skip that scene entirely. :D

You feelin okay?. I'm not trying to hurt your feelings aight. To me it looks like you're behaving kind of strange and it has me concerned. DM me if you want to talk about anything.
