TS4_x64.exe not found by Vortex

Since Sims 4 Discover University released last week, I have been unable to use Vortex to handle my mods due to faulty directory. EA/Maxis made it mandatory that you have to have to be at higher specs than before in order to run it. My PC can handle 64 bit so the new directory should be game/bin/TS4_x64.exe but Vortex will not register it due to the _x64 part of the filename. If I were to edit the filename to TS4.exe, then the game will no longer play and forces me to download Sims 4 Legacy Edition, even though my computer can handle the 64-bit version of the game.

 

Is there a way to force Vortex to see the TS4_x64.exe file or is it something that the creator must do??

Copy your TS4.exe from bin_le to bin. EA moved it.

Now it will run as it did before the update.

Vortex will be updated to handle this - but give them a release or two.

Did just that but the vortex still doesnt see the .exe files for TS4. Only regular folders. Didnt have this problem with other games. Do I need to change some settings or does the game needs to be installed in certain place?

NO, i you look closely at the window, it wants you to pick the FOLDER that the exe is located in, not the actual EXE

Tried that as well with no success (picked Bin folder which contains the TS4.exe). It just says that the directory doesnt appear to contain the game.
