Project: Flintlock (WIP)

I might continue my work on my Musket Mod Alpha since i just finished The Hobbit Weapon Pack and want to do something new. Proper animations are still not possible (i'm through with all known common methods, scripts, out of the box ideas blahblah), though i'll try to work with my very basic lock animation from the alpha version - won't fit a bolt action rifle but i found a type of flintlock rifle that i like.

 

I'm not sure IF (!) i find enough time to mod something more advanced, my state of health is not the best atm so IF (!) i decide to continue the whole thing it might take a while. It's a non-binding project that i might update from time to time - or not, we will see.

 

What i want to overhaul/add:

New rifle model (flintlock), better textures, better / more (smoke) effects, different sound effects / set to choose from, craftable ammunition/gunpowder, bayonett+powderhorn, leveled list / equip guards/NPCs , merchant (so finally i find usage for my Steampunk Mask) that sells rifle and supplies, one version for all views (1st+3rd)...and whatever comes into my mind.

 

 

To accomplish that i plan to do the whole mod from scratch since the alpha version is quite messed up, maybe i'll release it as new mod or update - whatever, that is in the far future.

Just finished the concept of the flintlock, creation of the low poly model and UV mapping will be next, texturing afterwards - will take a while. Check out the 3D upload.

Textures not finished ofc, just a basic material coloring. Won't have much time under the week, maybe i find the time to do some of the CK work and texturing. This version feels a bit better (in my opinion) than the last musket model, it's a bit shorter and i prefer the look in 1stperson - feels more natural.

 

Kudos to Patobek for this awesome armor :D
