Unable to upload a file to Skyrim Nexus

I have just tried to upload an update to mine and humannature66's mod;-

HN66 Race, Body, Clothing

The file is only 23.2MB, hardly huge. Yet I just get the constantly revolving daisy thing, five minutes at a time and the file will not upload. My internet connection is fine, so why can I not upload?

Edit;- OK the file is up now, but it was excruciatingly slow for a small file. Before anyone asks, I even rang up BT Broadband and had them check the line. It's fine, in fact I am getting speeds approaching the level of the fibre optic service they run on an ADSL line.

I'm actually getting this too today. My file IS a fair bit bigger - 124 mb rar'ed - but l can't tell if it's actually uploading or just stuck. So far it's ran for one attempt at about 20? minutes, this one at 15. Be great if there were a progress indicator, actually...Lol.

Anyway, everything else seems fine, except for some reason l keep getting logged out of the mods section, but if i click on the forums l'm logged in again. Is something going on with the server? or could it be something with sandy last night?

Yeah... I could go back to chrome, but I don't particularly like google. Thing is, mostly - up till this week or so? - l've only had 2 problems with this, and only one other site - TesAlliance today. I actually used Chrome for a good while, but found ff easier for the non-techno-advanced. (ie me..lol.) Gonna try it tho, this time it logged me out. As far as i know I haven't changed any cookies settings, either, and was able to upload a mod last week w/o trouble.

Thanks for the advice, tho. Gonna try it.

I'm still getting the same issues on Chrome, so I'm not sure it's that. This time I got the you must be logged in error, despite being logged in. My cookies were already set as far as i can tell, but for some reason it keeps asking me to relog in - same error lve been getting off and on with ff, despite my cookies being set to remember & save passwords.

kind of frustrated atm, but anyway. Any other suggestions I can try, or do i wait and see what happens tonight/tomorow?

Edit - looks like l just can't upload files atm.

every time l try, it stops at 99% with the you are not logged in error and puts me back to the sign in page regardless of my previous status. l've got it set that it never forgets my password or signs me out, so i'm not sure what's going on. been trying to update my mod for the last 7 hours now. /:

I am beginning to see that Chrome = good, Firefox = bad. Has got very silly lately.

I quite like Firefox but sadly it doesn't much like this place.

I've found that too.

Looks like there might be a site issue looking at slainia's problem though.

Well least l dont feel like l'm imagining things anymore. hehe. thanks. As for firefox vs chrome.. l'm actually liking chrome right now. was mostly - possibly exaggerated - frustrations with google's privacy policy a while back that prompted me to uninstall. won't really be able to test it again till later today, heading out atm. Hope you guys have a good one. :)

Google Chrome is always best for uploading just because it has a built in percentage bar that will tell you how far along your upload is.

The logout issue is probably an issue we have with our auth system at the moment. You might have noticed, but most people are being logged out of some sites (specifically Skyrim Nexus) regularly...sometimes as much as every 10 mins. I'm guessing this upload issue is an extension of the login issue, in that it's taking you more than 10 minutes to upload a large file and ergo when it comes to the file being fully uploaded you're no longer logged in and no longer "allowed" to upload a file. Hopefully once this login issue is fixed your upload issue will be gone as well.

We tried to fix it last night and ended up DDoS'ing our own servers, so a bit more time is needed to get it right.
