68Reef
I have just installed the vortex to help install texture mods for Star Wars: Knights of the old republic (SWKOTOR).However after booting up the game I quickly checked to see if had worked, and nothing had changed. The mods which i have installed are listed below:Complete Character OverhaulFens - BastilaFens - CanderousFens - HK-47Fens - JoleeFens - JuhaniFens - MissionFens - PlayerFens - Reshade PresetFens - T3-M4Fens - ZaalbarHigh Quality Blasters 1.1K1R_1.2Quanons Lighsaber packWeapon Model Overhaul Texture Rework I have check and made sure that all the mods are in a folder in my location drive and check if the override folder and it has the mods in so in theory it should work? Please help as this is the first time i'm modding a game and have been reading different forums and help guide of what i need to do to make it work but still do not see what could be stopping it from working. If you could help that would be great.
HadToRegister
Did you INSTALL, ENABLE, and DEPLOY the mods?
68Reef
I have installed, then enabled and deployed it (or called elevate which i believe is another way of saying deploy).
BigBizkit
Well, not exactly. Elevation is required for some deployment methods (symlinks), but you still need to deploy. If you are getting a notification in the top right corner about mods being deployed, then everything should be in order.
68Reef
I have seen the deploy button, and the mods are still not been activating.
BigBizkit
Can you link the mods? It might be that they are just packed the wrong way.

CanardBoiteux7
I found why (I also have the problem) : this is due to bad mod installation rules defined for SWKOTOR. As far as I have checked, Vortex always copy mod archive's content directly into the Override folder, without handling the cases where there may be additionnal sub-directories. Therefore, for exemple for "Fens - Mission", your mod files are into Override/Fens-Mission/ while they should be into Override/ I could blame the mods' authors for not matching the 'common' mod layout, but as Vortex may be younger than those mods I would rather blame the SWKOTOR mod installation patterns that are incomplete (cf. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Creating_a_game_extension_for_Vortex). The simplier (but not quickest) workaround is installating the incriminated mods manually, as for fixing the mod installation patterns for SWKOTOR, I am still searching... The odler the game, the more likely that mods were zipped up meant for manual install, rather than by a mod manager. The best thing to do (I did this with Oblivion), is to download the mods into a WORK folder, unzip them, and rezip them up with the proper directory structure that the Mod Manager will be able to install the mods correctly.
