Davetheangryjew
I'm hoping someone can answer some easy questions for me. Vortex has a downloads folder, which I have found in my appdata, containing zips of all my installed mods. This folder is currently nearly 11GB for me and as I continue to mod will only get bigger. My OS is on an SSD with limited space, and I do not want it clogged with these zip files. I always do manual downloads and then install into the MM, rather than downloading through the manager itself, so I'm unsure why there's copies of all these zips in a downloads folder. Can these files be safely deleted to save space, or are these copies of the mod files that Vortex actively reads from and are necessary? And if they can't be deleted, can this downloads folder be redirected to a different path on a different drive?
HadToRegister
You do manual downloads, then you either drag the file to Vortex, or you use the INSTALL FROM FILE option, which puts the Mod Archive that you downloaded into the download folder. You can always change the location of your download folder to a drive that has a lot of space. This is how mod managers work
