TehCheshire
I dug through the FAQ and the wiki but this doesn't seem to be a question answered by either. I also tried to search the forums but that just gets me a white page.Using latest version of Vortex, Windows 10 build 18362.476I use a SSD for my OS and have initially installed Vortex there, I didn't realize however that it was also "saving" my downloads of mods (the zip/rar/compressed versions) in a file there until today. My SSD right now is a 250 so its quickly chewing through my space. Does it HAVE to be on the same drive as the OS or can it be on the same drive as steam/games I'm moding?Which is better for it? HadToRegister
Vortex can be installed anywhere you want if you download the CUSTOM Installer, I have mine installed on my D drive, and my Mod and Download folder on my D drive as wellThe only requirement is that the MOD STAGING folder for Vortex needs to be on the same drive as the game You set the download and mod staging folder from WITHIN Vortex. Okay thats what I wanted to make sure of - everything else (mod staging folder, steam, ect) is set up on my D drive along with my game directory and such. Only thing not (naturally) is the user/my documents/my games file for the ini. Thank you for your help!
