That "FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075" means you must've extracted the zip file into the DATA folder using the 7z file's name rather than having Vortex install it, because Vortex does NOT, install any mod, with the the ARCHIVE FILE NAME as part of the path

Uhm, what are you talking about here, since a quick test reveals, if I download and install FNIS for SSE, I'll in the mod staging folder get a new directory named "FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075", while in Vortex the mod name is listed as "Fores New Idles in Skyrim SE - FNIS SE - FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1"

Taking a closer look, it seems all my Vortex-installed mods includes everything except .7z, .rar or .zip as the created sub-directory. Meaning, the only mods that don't include a more-or-less long strong of numbers at the end, is mods not downloaded from Nexus. Also worth mentioning, it seems my oldest Vortex downloads from Nexus does not include the last long string of numbers.

Note, this is with Vortex v1.1.5, it's possible older versions used another naming-convention.

Happy Holidays.

Go to the FNIS page, go to the Download page, click on MANUAL download, and when the selection window comes up, you'll see the actual name of the 7z file is "FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075" because the Nexus adds the Mod ID, and the other number is the Index Number of the Mod.

If you notice the 3038 in the 7z file name, and then look up in your address bar, you'll see https://www,nexusmods,com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3038 (added commas so the site wouldn't format the example as a url)

Vortex shouldn't be installing a mod using the actual File name of the archive, it should be using the name of the root folder inside the archive.

I have 7z in my right click menu, if I am unzipping ANY 7z, rar, zip file, I get the option to "Extract Here.." meaning the contents of the 7z, rar, zip file will be extracted to the folder I'm currently in.

I also have the option to "Extract to <Filename>" meaning the 7z, rar, or zip file will be extracted to a Folder NAMED after the 7z, rar, or zip file

The example I said in the above post explains that

Say I'm in a folder called "Derp" If I unzip FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075 using the "Extract Here..." option, I will get this Folder in my DERP Folder named " FNIS Behavior SE 7.5.1" with the appropriate subfolders

If I take FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075 and use the Extract to <Filename> option, the 7z right click menu will say "Extract to FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075", and I will end up with a Folder called "FNIS Behavior SE 7_5_1-3038-7-5-1-1573167075" with a subfolder of "FNIS Behavior SE 7.5.1" inside it, with all of the appropriate subfolders

Vortex should NOT be extracting the archive to a folder with the name of the downloaded archive.

1: Vortex shouldn't be installing a mod using the actual File name of the archive, it should be using the name of the root folder inside the archive.

2: Vortex should NOT be extracting the archive to a folder with the name of the downloaded archive.

1: The root folder is very frequently called "Data", meaning for obvious reasons this isn't usable as the sub-directory name for different mods.

2: Well, clearly my Vortex installation doesn't know what Vortex shouldn't do, since according to the log the first part goes like:

So report it as a bug then, because my FNIS was installed a while ago by Vortex, and it was installed correctly.
