c0ax599
This post is not concerning the CK per se, but concerns modders that need to decompile a .pex script into a .psc, in case there is no .psc and you need one for whatever reason. IsharaMeradin pointed me to this tool awhile back, and I was able to successfully use it for my needs (a missing .psc file). I'll post a link to the tool in case anyone else might find a need for it, but my main reason for this post, was a recent revelation on why the strange name for a tool for Skyrim (works on SE also). I was watching the History channel, and a show came on about the man known as the decipherer/translator on reading the Egyptian Hieroglyphs. You see where i'm going with this. His name was Jean-François Champollion. Since I used this little tool, it has intrigued me, and I did wonder about the name of it. After 10 minutes of the show on the history channel, I was thinking where have i heard that name, and then it hit me like a brick who this decompiler tool was named after. I found that really cool! The name has a real meaning! Hopefully some readers here will share my appreciation of this fact. I could be wrong, but i'm 99% sure I'm not. It just seems too obvious. Link to Champollion. cumbrianlad
I didn't know that either. I haven't needed the tool much but when I have it has been a life saver. It's even better when you find out that you simply need to drag and drop pex files onto the champollion exe to get it to decompile!
