Time is running out!

I don't know what the average age is of the people playing these games and using these mods is, but I'm in my 60's. To some, that seems old, and sometimes I feel old, but if I live 10 more years I will count myself fortunate! I've had an interesting life and I'm enjoying it the best I can by playing Skyrim SSE.

Everywhere I read in these forums, the powers in charge say "Be nice to the modders". I really don't have anything against modders, although some seem to a little arrogant, I let it go mainly because it's not worth to argue. I wish I could chat with a few of them, to give them my approval, feedback, encouragement, and suggestions.

I play Skyrim SSE at least 50 hours each week and have been playing a version of Skyrim since its release on 11/11/11. I've tried many mods, and I'm still trying new mods every day, trying to find the right mods that will encompass the vision that I feel my game should have. It has taken me a long time finding the right mods, and I'm still discovering new mods. Some mods I have deleted, mainly because I got bored and wanted to try something new, and lost them forever due to the fact that Bethesda decided to act as the morality police and removed them from their site. Oh well, that the way it goes!

As I said earlier, I'm in my 60's and I don't have any children or grandchildren. I don't need some puffed up pompous punks telling me what I can and can't view or what mods I can use. But, I have no recourse. I must use their site to play Skyrim.

Yes, I could buy a computer to play on Nexus, but it's unfeasible. I cannot comprehend the complexities of a computer, I'm lucky to even find this site, and don't count on me returning to this site in the future because I may not be able to locate it!

Just so you know, I bought my first calculator when I was a freshman in college. It was made by Texas Instruments and was big and bulky with only a few functions. I couldn't even operate that properly, and you think I could find my way around a computer screen?

Be it as it may, I may be able to one day figure out what to do with a computer, but it would take years to do. I don't have years, I've got other issues like my failing health to worry about, along with the well-being of my wife.

Since this is probably the only time I can successfully post my opinion on a site or in a forum, I feel the need for me to give whoever my feedback on certain mods.

First, I want to say that I do not use graphic mods. I like them, I like them a lot, but they take up too much space on my Xbox, so I don't use them. I don't really use female body mods, because I don't play as a female. I don't have any followers, and I never ride horses. Where I travel, horses cannot go, I rarely use roads.

I've climbed "The Throat of the World" without using the seven thousand steps, within sight of the word wall up at the top. I found a way up, actually, there are two ways to get up to the monastery.

I play as a Breton Hunter always, using an NPC Spellsword only when I go to Blackreach or do the Dawnguard DLC. I am all for immersion, I think it's the way to go in this game, but that's my opinion.

I do like using overhauls for cities, towns, and villages. I currently am using LordCurse version of Falkreath, Dawnstar, Morthal, and Winterhold. I use the Soldier of War version of Solitude, I would like to use his/her version of Dragon Bridge and Rorikstead, but he/she doesn't offer them as an individual mod, so I don't use them at all. I also use JK's Skyrim mods Markarth, Whiterun and Riften. I would like to use JK's Ivarstead, but once again the author doesn't offer individual mods. For Riverwood, I use Riverwood Reborn, I think that's the correct title! I would really like for LordCurse to create a mod for Dragon Bridge, and to revise his version of Rorikstead to make it similar to JK's version of Rorikstead. While he is at it, he could always create his version of Ivarstead.

I have complete faith in LordCurse to create city and village mods that are not only immersive but also unique.

I just think that with all these dangerous creatures roaming through the wilds of Skyrim, don't you think the small villages would have more defensive measures in place to protect their citizens?

Finally, because I'm getting tired of typing with one finger, someone should do something about these mods that create unique looking bridges in Skyrim. While looking pleasant to the eye, because the vanilla bridges just look too bland, they are not immersive! The carriages and carts in the game cannot traverse the steps on some of these bridges, such as the one in Riverwood and the bridge near the Shrine of Dibella. Other bridges in some mods are too narrow for any carriage or cart to move across, its only good for foot travel, think about it! You can still have some unique and strange shapes in the engineering of the bridges, just make them immersive.

Well, I guess I'm done! I'm tired!

Holy Crap Man! What are you really trying to say? I also had to quit reading cause the text was all blurring together....

I would advise getting that new PC if possible. Shame that you're that age and didn't learn about PC's earlier. I got into them at 33, now I'm 59... Not making money or anything, but i know what a bookmark is in the web browser....

Would give you some advice if I could sir, but you need to edit your post, break it into paragraphs, etc.

Just looking at it as is hurts my brain! lol

If you do that, some people might be willing to help you..
