dsr1231248D
Hey all, I've got a question that's eating me alive. Been trying to find a software to make my own animations but I've had some really bad luck at it. I might be just bad at looking up tutorials but I've tried installing blender plug-ins and installing Maya/3ds, but neither seems to be able to import those .hkx let alone export them. Anyone knows a program that can import/export .hkx files (Or is it actually done differently)? Even an updated tutorial video I might have skipped can be very valuable? PD: Is this the right forum to post these questions? I'm quite new here
HeyYou
I think you need a plugin for 3ds, in order to do those. They are also version specific, and they aren't out there for all versions....
StormWolf01
heyas dsr. This is definitely not my cup of tea. Here's the results from my yahoo search. One of the reasons why I'm posting it like this, instead of direct links, is because a very good answer to your question is located on the "site that shall not be named" so I can't post links to it.https://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=opera2&p=import+export+bethesda+hkx+files From what I was reading tho, it looks like they have to be converted to another format first. and this is the results when I did a search for Havok plugin https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A2KIbMmFSiNedSkA88JXNyoA;_ylc=X1MDMjc2NjY3OQRfcgMyBGZyA29wZXJhMgRmcjIDc2ItdG9wBGdwcmlkAzg2UHdXOEtLU2dlbFBzSnB4czN3dEEEbl9yc2x0AzAEbl9zdWdnAzIEb3JpZ2luA3NlYXJjaC55YWhvby5jb20EcG9zAzAEcHFzdHIDBHBxc3RybAMwBHFzdHJsAzEyBHF1ZXJ5A2hhdm9rJTIwcGx1Z2luBHRfc3RtcAMxNTc5MzcxMTcw?p=havok+plugin&fr2=sb-top&fr=opera2 Like I said, this is not my cup of tea, but I hope that it helps.-Storm
lilkandeekid
This has all the info you should need for import and export: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Animation_In_Fallout_4 You're going to need 3DS Max 2013-2015 and Havok Content Tool's 2014. 3DS Max you're on your own with finding, but send me a PM if you cant find a Havok link. Edit: For a decent video tutorial check this out, info from it was used in the tutorial above: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16691 Edited January 18, 2020 by lilkandeekid
