dothacker2
So I've been on hiatus from moddable games, as some popular games went free for a while and I come back to find NMM is now obsolete and this Vortex thing is the new default. Cool, cool. Upgrades, right? NMM was sweet so let's try it. Except it seems like it's still stuck in beta, errors constantly between needing permissions for things, multiple application errors about not having files in the program itself (IIRC I think it was something light bird maybe? I really should have made note), it is hardly able to import NMM files (support for other drives please? I had to move the files from another drive to get it to recognize I had my current NMM files and it had no idea what was currently active on NMM, which made it a PITA to reinstall everything and figure out what I had installed) and really...I'm just disappointed. I've been fighting to reinstall everything for hours now, between errors and issues. I just was hoping for a seamless transition. Plus, it lacks most of the features that NMM had such as info panels. What possible reason would anyone choose vortex over nmm for? TLDR; Vortex is full of bugs, not streamlined to NMM's mods nor settings, very disappointed, any way to configure vortex to use NMM's settings/mods? "It's hardly able to import NMM files" Yes, it is, and unfortunately that stems from NMM corrupting the files that Vortex needs to properly import the mods, but people like to blame Vortex instead.Honestly, I wish the import option was removed, as it's caused more problems than it has solved. It's best to start 'Clean" Also, if you had scrolled a little farther down the Vortex Download Page, you would've found the updated Community version of NMM, and could've just continued on. I see you didn't spend much time with Vortex then. support for other drives please Plus, it lacks most of the features that NMM had such as info panels.
