Deleted40691980User
Hey guys, I'm running a few different mods but I'm worried they might be interfering with each other... LOOT has ordered them for me, but it still crashes a few seconds into the game, every time... Can anyone suss out which mod conflict is cauising my game to crash? M48A5
Much, much more information is need before anyone can offer any advice. Please see "How to ask for help: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/How_to_ask_for_help and provide all the information noted there. As a start "LOOT has ordered", this has never happened for FO3. Despite years of problems sorting FO3 mods, the developers have never offered a solution.
Deleted40691980User
Thanks for the info - I thought LOOT or BOSS were tools used to organise the load order of the mods? M48A5
BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) works for FO3 and Oblivion. I am lead to believe that LOOT works for other games, but I know it has never worked for FO3. Since I don't have any games that would be sorted with LOOT, I cannot attest to the truth of this. Druuler
Posting your actual load order will be much more helpful, than just a list of the mods and utilities you are using. That way, we will know in what order the ESMs and ESPs are being loaded into your game, and hopefully see which ones are out of order.
Deleted40691980User
Posting your actual load order will be much more helpful, than just a list of the mods and utilities you are using. That way, we will know in what order the ESMs and ESPs are being loaded into your game, and hopefully see which ones are out of order Apologies that would have been a good idea. Here is the list, organised by LOOT. I actually figured what was making it crash - for some reason having Project Beauty - Fallout Character Overhall.esp was making it CTD. Disabiling it solved the problem, but I don't know if that means I've disabled the whole of Project Beauty. I don't trust the LOOT order list. I previously had Project Reality at the bottom of the list, so it would load last. This worked, and I could clearly see improvements in graphics. However, LOOT seems to have put it randomly in the list, and now the game just looks vanilla... M48A5
Load order is not correct. The actual last correct entry is RH Ironsights.esm. You need to go back to the Blackened page and re-read the instructions. If you don't understand them ,don't use the Blackened patches. Mods with plugins (.esp files) for the DLCs are to be loaded in the same order as the DLCs. Compatibility patches must load after the last mod being patched. That is the only way the patch will work. Deleted40691980User
This is how LOOT has organised it. Looks all wrong to me, considering what you said before...
