The game location doesn't exist or isn't writeable

I am trying to install Fallout 4 mods. Every other game works fine in Vortex but not fallout 4. Vortex reads it and shows is there but when I hit manage it says

D:\Vortex Mods\fallout4

"

 

Its looking in the D drive but I don't have one, fallout 4 is installed on the E drive, with all my other games. I've tried setting the location manually by the following

 

+ ------> manually set location -----> /Fallout 4

 

Its showing the correct path when I hit the + but when I hit manage it still gives the not found in D error. I've also made a new download folder for the mods themselves on the E drive, because I want a fresh mod experience in the games.

 

I have also tried reinstalling both vortex and fallout 4 but neither of it changes the outcome.

 

 

 

*****Okay I fixed it, have no idea how I just got frustrated, restarted vortex like 100 times and suddenly it works

What's the path to Fallout 4 on your system?

 

D:\Vortex Mods\Fallout 4 sounds like the Mod Staging Folder not the Game Folder

 

Mod Staging Folder AND Game need to be on the same drive.
