Consistent CTD?

I'm getting pretty tired of asking you guys things lol but I can't help it. I'm enjoying Oblivion so much right now.

 

Here's my new problem: Consistent CTDs. Not random ones. Every ten minutes, whenever I enter a new area, whether I go through a door or fast travel, Oblivion always crashes. You guys probably want to know what I've tried to fix this problem, right?

 

So far, I:

 

-Download Earle's Crash Prevention Mod.

-Used Archive Invalidation in OBMM.

-Used BOSS to sort my load order.

Go ahead and nag me if it's so obvious, I really don't care as long as I get to play Oblivion straight without CTDs.

I had a feeling that was it. And I fix that by doing what? Re-downloading them? I already converted my files in OBMM. I don't want to delete them D: But I guess if I have to I will.

After going through the problem, I realized that I had Book Jackets Oblivion - BP.esp turned on when I didn't even have Book Placement.

When you adjusted your mods, did you re-run BOSS, and then rebuild your Bashed Patch? If your Bashed Patch hasn't been re-built, you're going to have problems. Would you post your new mod list, please?

In answer to your COBL question you really don't need it unless you want to use a mod that requires COBL as a master. Otherwise it's a matter of choice whether you actually want to use it or not. A good rule of thumb before using mods is to read the mod description and/or read-me file to find out what the requirements are. Then you know what needs to be installed in order to make your mod work properly. You can usually find the info here on Nexus by clicking the little button titled "Required Files", which is right on the mod download screen.

 

One question for you before I go. How the heck did you even get the game to start with two missing master files? Every time I ever forgot a master it crashed immediately at the opening screen.
