Do i have to download premium to get more than 1mbps?

im new and am sad bc i didnt know you had to pay subscription in order to download mods faster than 1mbps. lammme

just put ads up instead, probably make more money doing that. :c

They do have ads, and no, they don't make anywhere near more money by doing that. A supporter membership, for example, which is about 2 bucks, makes them more money than they will ever get in that user's lifetime from ads, as evidenced by the fact that purchasing it means you'll never see an ad on the Nexus again until the end of time.

 

And yes, users who don't use adblock do get double the download rate at 2MB/s - which, by the way, is megaBYTES per second, not 2Mbps, which is megaBITS per second. One byte = 8 bits.

So, even when somebody answers you correctly, you're just going to tell them that they're lying?

 

It's stated right in the forums by the staff, that if you use an ad blocker, your downloads are limited to 1mb/s, if you don't use an ad blocker, then your cap is 2mb/s
