M15f17
So just recently I started playing again and have starting using a lot of mods 50+. The first issue is every time I load the game there are certain mods that have disabled themselves. The same mods, I enable, leave the mod screen and it does its reload deal, then I try to load my saved game and it gives me the warning saying the same mods are disabled. I have tried reinstalling in vortex. I have tried enabling in NMM then loading and again they are disabled and cannot be enabled. Any suggestions? You can also, in Vortex, his CTRL + A and select Enable ALL
M15f17
no, only 1 instance. I enabled all, it redeployed nothing seemed to change. The mods that are auto disabled are still listed in the DLCList.txt, loadorder.txt, and Plugins.txt and are all *'d in plugins. HadToRegister
The real PITA about this problem is it's not consistent. It happens on some people's systems, but for most everybody it never happens, and I don't think it's been officially figured out yet.Do you use Windows Defender? If so, turn of "Controlled Folder Access"I'm wondering if these isolated cases it's some 3rd party software that either prevents the plugins.txt from being written, or Automatically RESTORES the old plugins.txt (Like OneDrive and GoogleDrive) was doing to my desktop for a while until I turned them off. M15f17
I get what you are saying because it just started happening after a reformat. I disabled defender ( and currently have no AV). I'm thinking I might clear all my mods and 1-by-1 them to see if i can figure that out.

Interesting, so everything was working perfectly and then you reformatted and then they started disabling themselves. What changed? Is there software you installed or didn't reinstall after the format? Did you have Vortex on the C drive and your Download and Mod Staging folder on C as well? Did you back up your appdata\vortex folder before the format? It almost sounds like an old remnant of vortex is restoring your previous load order
