How do I know the files are downloading?

"Not sure why others are not doing it that way, but I guess its about getting a little money for their work and guessing you don't get anything if loaded directly off the game?"

All the mods available here are free. The mod authors do not get any compensation at all, unless someone voluntarily donates something. This is a completely free site. You only need to sign-up and be a member.

FO4 is a newer game and was published after Nexus added the "MOD MANAGER DOWNLOAD". Those mods added before the change in the download process were not changed by the mod authors. Some will work with the mod manager download, but most of the older mods won't work with the mod manager download.

I did manage to download "Outcasts and Remnants" for FO4 This was required to play Project Valkyrie, but couldn't get PV to load.

Both recently updated

Will try again later on. Not sure of any other way. This was complicated enough. I prefer the simple download and play

Thanks

All you have to do, if you have Vortex installed is use the DOWNLOAD WITH MOD MANAGER BUTTON, then click on INSTALL on the Mod and Vortex will install it for you.

How are you trying to install mods?

Are you using a Mod Manager?

If so, which one?

What do you mean by "Download and Play"

Are you unzipping the mods and manually trying to install them, are you just copying the Mod Archive into the Game Data folder?

You are not explaining what you're trying to do in a clear fashion, so everybody is trying to help, without getting any real usable information from you.

I downloaded something for FO4 with the Nexus Mod Manager, but couldn't figure out how to add the second part of the main game (first was needed to play second). Deleted it all, but somehow the first game was added and working

Just couldn't figure out the second part. Tried adding, Drag and drop and nothing did anything

Got one new game mod to play and so far OK.

Maybe will try the second part after this game is done.

Appreciate all the help

Some games here I've seen on the FO4 game mods and it's just click and download. Not sure why others are not doing it that way, but I guess its about getting a little money for their work and guessing you don't get anything if loaded directly off the game?

DON

Are talking about the DLC?

Because I have no idea what you're talking about.

There's no way to download the DLC for FO4 with a mod manager, and that's what it sounds like you're talking about.

Are you trying to Drag and Drop the Mod ARCHIVE into the Game Data folder?

No. I was trying to drag it into the mod manager

I'm not used to doing things this way. As I mentioned. Download and just play.

Thanks

WHICH MOD MANAGER??????

You said the FO Mod Manager, WHAT is that? because there IS a FALLOUT MOD MANAGER for Fallout 3, but you're playing Fallout 4, so are you using NEXUS MOD MANAGER or VORTEX?

You're not ANSWERING any Questions that people are asking you, you just continue to answer our questions with vague comments about what you're trying to do, without answering ANY of the questions.

Nobody can help you until you get specific

I downloaded the Nexus mod manager. Fallout mod manager didn't have 4 associated with it

I downloaded the mod Outcasts and Remnants, unzipped it and managed somehow to add it to the Nexus mod manager. Project Valkyrie I couldn't add. Maybe I just got lucky some how

Download and play - on Fallout 4. I can just click on mods and it brings up various mods that people created. I just click on the ones I want and they're added to the main game.

I don't do create folders, unzipping, manual installs etc. because it's not something I really know about

I'll look into the Vortex Mod Manager

Thanks
