Vortex isn't working in Skyrim, Mods are enabled and deployed but in-game they don't exist.

What's happening is that I've got the elder scrolls V: Skyrim (the standard one, not special edition, nor legendary, nor VR).

 

I've got it on Steam.

 

I've downloaded and installed Vortex. (in the D disc, as same as I use for installing my games on steam, so Skyrim is in it too)

 

But when I install ANY mod thru vortex, after enabling it and deploying it, it says it's all ok.

 

Then when I enter the game thru vortex/regular steam "play" button/Skyrim script extender on steam none of the mods work in none of these 3 ways of initializing the game.

 

The game runs ok, its just that it's the regular game, all mods off.

-Skyrim flora overhaul

Two of those mods are just Meshes and Textures, so the only thing you should be seeing is graphic improvements

I'm not sure why you're trying to run SKyrim using SKSE, because from your description you don't have any mods installed that even require it

Yea, I know they're just textures, but they don't run anyway. There's literally no difference in the game.

I'm having the same issue but with Special Edition. Everything seems set up, but the mods don't load (I have the KS hairdos and elegant beauty stunning eyes, so i should be seeing it in the character creation part but i'm not) I have deployed them, they are in the right folders, but they don't show up. Only mod that (I assume) works is the immersive NPCs cuz i grabbed that one through the games mod section and when i load there is a message that pops up saying that immersive NPCs loaded. Not sure what I am doing wrong here.

No, but I found what went wrong. Mods were all enabled, but evidently my plugins weren't, for those two. So I enabled the plugins and deployed them and it worked great. Out of curiousity, is racemenu helpful?

No, but I found what went wrong. Mods were all enabled, but evidently my plugins weren't, for those two. So I enabled the plugins and deployed them and it worked great. Out of curiousity, is racemenu helpful?

 

 

Well, KS Hairdos suggests that you use Racemenu with KS Hairdos, as it adds many more character creation options if you're using SKSE64, etc
