wayneout Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 I was playing Fallout 4 and then took a break. Didn't do anything to the game. I came back and started it up and when it loaded I got this message. It gave me the same message for all the games that used it. I closed the game and opened Vortex and deleted the MCM mod. Went back and used Vortex to download it again. Opened the game and got the same messages. And of course there was no MCM in the game. I do not know what else I can do except load it manually. I allso got a another message but it went by I so quick that I couldn't see it. Seems like it said just F4SE or FOSE. Just the one word. Anyone have an idea what is happening here. Thanks
wayneout Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 That other message that I talked about was $NO_F4SE. I also re-installed F4SE manually and started the game but still got the same messages including the one about F4SE. Something is wonky because when I click on the F$SE, it brings up the Skyrim first page where you have "Play", "option" "support" and "quit" but then Fallout 4 starts. F$SE is installed in the correct folder. I have done it enough times. I just tried again to open it. Besides telling me to re-install MCM, it tells me that I should reset the mods MCM. I have no earthly idea how to do that.
JimmyRJump Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 If you click on f4se and the Skyrim option menu shows, then there's more happening that isn't right... Better seriously check what you are doing and make sure you didn't manually add Skyrim SE mods to the Fallout 4 data folder.
