Fo4vr Plugins enabled but aren’t active

What information should I provide to help at this point? I have liked vortex for skyrim Vr but it seems to have irreversibly broken any ability to mod fallout 4vr. Even on reinstalling the game doesnât acknowledge the mods in its own folders or plugin list. When I add or subtract anythin from the plugin list it also crashes on startup. This is getting old, please advise

Also I should mention, they were installed and working fine. At this point I would be ok with finding a way to completely remove vortexâs interference and awareness of fo4vr. I like Vortex, I donât want to be an ungrateful turd, As mentioned before it had been great for skyrim vr, but after a few days of trying to fux it with fovr Iâd just like to get the game working and moddable again

Ah sorry, just manually, no programs involved, everything unzipped and in the proper directories

So you had all of these mods installed manually, then installed Vortex to install one mod, and expected all of the manually installed mods to show up as ENABLED in Vortex properly?

A mod manager can only manage mods that it has installed, that's how it knows what to do with the mods.

Since Vortex is showing them as disabled, it's because they were already in the Data folder and it has (like every other mod manager out there with mods it hasn't installed) absolutely NO IDEA, what the status of those mods are.

The strange part I guess is that I had been doing that with skyrimvr for a while, I have plenty of custom assets and mods that I made and simply brought over from the skyrim se folders. To reiterate, the fo4vr plugins did show as enabled and I do have the option checked to load loose from the data folder in the settings. For skyrim se I may be remembering it wrong and those were installed after vortex was already present. All this aside, is there a way to completely cut off vortex from fallout4vr? Or do you have another suggested solution. I can easily remove the mods and add them back if there is a way to do that which works, but in doing this so far it has changed nothing. Is there a way to remove vortex for fo4vr and without uninstalling vortex? Or prior to uninstalling and reinStalling would it work if I backed up the skyrimvr folder in the appdata/roaming/vortex directory?

Just remove the profile for it on the Profile Tab

Since FalloutVR isn't technically 'officially' supported, Vortex handles it differently, because it uses the same downloads as Fallout 4, but keeps track of how to install them, if it's the one installing the mods.

With mods installed by hand, Vortex has no way of knowing that

Thank you again for your response. Unfortunately I already tried doing that and it did not work strangely enough. I will try again though. Would there be anything secondary I should try deleting, any thing that vortex does that makes the game engine check with vortex on start-up?
