jamstertrouble
Before 3-4 days ago, I had 0 issues saving and retrieving my .esp work with CK. Then, after it crashed on me, it deleted my .esp that I'd been working diligently on without explanation. I started a new .esp, trying to make the mod once more, but now every time CK closes and I shut my laptop back down, when I open it back up, the cells and the new formIDs I make are there, but the content in the cell is not. It's just the void. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? I constantly save and have very little issues getting the CK to save the .esp before I shut my laptop down. Meaning, if CK crashes, as long as I've saved the plugin, when I open it back up, the saved files are usually still there. It's only when I shut the laptop down, restart it and open up CK that the content is missing from the cells. Clearly this is an issue. I can't keep my laptop on all the time. How do I get it to correctly save my files?
Gerheardt
I know how having no answer can be sickening sometimes, so i write for you to know i actually read and wanted to help. Sadly i'm clueless. I'd say something corrupted the CK when it crashed 3-4 days ago. I could only suggest to uninstall and reinstall the CK, but the odds for that to solve the problem are not that high... greyday01
In the creation kit, when you select your cell does anything show up in the right hand pane that lists the contents of your cell? Does the contents of vanilla cells show in that pane? When you go to a vanilla cell in the CK do all the contents render? Try going to View in the menu bar then opening the Show/Hide menu. See if the correct items are checked to be visible. If the defaults are messed up you might need to uninstall the CK and reinstall it as well as deleting the editor int. Or you could first delete the editor ini and have it make a new one. Also make daily backups of your esp to a separate folder in Documents. Crashes happen and its good to have your work saved and even if it doesn't crash and you want to go back to yesterdays version if you mess up today it will be there.
