This post got its idea from a thread started by StormWold01. . o O ( StormWolf01 )

When you start and play your game, we encounter a lot of NPC Characters, that just annoy us to no end and what to put them out of our misery!

This does not include - Raiders - Gunners and other General NPC Factions.

This is specific Vanilla NPC's that have a name given to them.

IE:

Some as random as Parker Quinn the " Credit Card guy "

to ... well your NPC.

Mine?

Oh, hands down - STRONG. In fact I've gotten to the point that I don't even bother to save him, since I found I could not kill him.

My second: Curie ..... and Ada ... I put them together in that they are basically the same ' race ' and annoying as ....

Well, you already know my answer from the other thread. But yeah, Parker Quinn.

Not only is he obviously trying to scam you out of 110 credits, but, even worse, he calls the player character a retard whether you fall for his scam or not.

Totally agree with strong too. I do save him (because I want to save Rex Goodman), but I definitely do not take him with me as a follower. I just leave him standing in what's left of the lobby of Trinity Tower. He can stay there for all eternity as far as I'm concerned.

The dog. Controversial.

Because I have wasted enough stimpaks on his constant "charge into unwinnable engagements and never withdraw" thing.

Maybe a good RPG boi, but a totally sucky combat liability in a game that involves a bunch of shooting.

Make protected and bust a cap as I don't need to do base game quests like reunions anymore ever.

Infact companions are just like those rando BR mooks I get teamed with and have to carry/revive every couple of minutes in the first circle.

Nobody forces you to revive them in the first minute SKK :).

Infact I love companions, but I rarely use stimpacks on them. That said - I also run not very often in combat stituations where they go down, because I am usually so near to the enemie that he prefers to shoot at me, even if someone like Strong hammers on him.

I actually sent Strong and Curie ( sp? ) to a far far away Settlement in hopes that either:

... A. They killed each other: >>> FAILED.

... B. The Settlers would kill them. >>> FAILED.

I did try actually NUKING THEM BOTH in a private area ..... >>> FAILED.

So I just leave them to annoy others and NOT me.

WHO are you callin' "old" ??

I'll have you know that I'm a very young 496 thank you! (Oh wait, that's wolf/dog years...!)

LOL no worries, just kidding around about a typo ;) ;D

Agreed! X6 is just... I've never actually played him, since I have never gone all the way and done the institute ending, but the vids of him I've seen....geeze I just wanna mag dump a 30 rounder into him.

Have not played Curie either. I have thought about it. But I honestly HATE talking to the people in that vault, and I usually end up just leaving to go commit some surreality, 3d homicide.

Strong. If anybody ever made a mod that would let you cross him with a Super Mutant Suicider, I'd the the first person to DL it, and repeatedly enjoy reloading a quick save to shove a mininuke up his backside! (Backstory on that one, he's not a likeable character to start with. When I played on the PS4, I got STUCK with him, due to the "follower bug" that made him follow me around, unable to do anything with him, not be able to give him orders, and have to listen to his idle banter fire off every 40 seconds or so, ad infinitum.) So yeah, if you think he's insufferable when you CAN get rid of him, think about how bad it is if you CAN'T get rid of him.

Dog. I honestly think that Dogmeat is bethesda flying the middle finger at us. There is just so much that is so wrong and annoying about that companion. I hardly ever even recruit him. He can just stay there all nice and happy at RR station, and come (hopefully) help me track down Kellog on the few runs that I ever go that far into the main story.

I mean, I know the entries to remove, to get rid of the worst of his problems, as well as can look up the files to replace to get rid of the annoying sounds he makes, but I mean...other people already have.

(No that's not aimed at you, SKK. I'm referring to me being unenthusiastic about that character, so I just don't wanna spend the time to fix it, when other people already have).

So, aside from the fact that he runs around all over hell and back and does NOT know how to "HEEL!" so he aggro's damned near everything in a building and blows my sniper attacks, Somehow knows how to open any and every door, but doesn't know how CLOSE them again... that croaking sound that is supposed to be him yawning just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I will say this tho. He doesn't complain at me about all the junk I pick up. :whistling:

It is funny tho. Most players think "Oh, Dogmeat just loves you right away!" Not.

If you play using AFT, you'll see his affinity levels rise. Many people get a HUGE surprise when they see that first "Dogmeat tolerates you" message.

Quinn. Spoiler warning!

It's actually not a scam. It's a program that he's trying to get into the works in Far Harbor. So far, there's only one shop owner that is on board with it tho.

LOL yeah, I'd be .... "ok" with him, and I keep telling myself to NOT kill him.... up until he calls me retard. Then it's like, ok jackass, you're toast!

Garvey. Preston go f**k off Garvey. I have thought about so many different mods that would do some very nasty, very evil things to that character. I think about the only thing that has kept me from actually making them is that I really honestly wouldnt want a future employer to see that in my available downloads!

Off Topic- WHY the heck is PAM so GD'd TALL??? My current character can look over the top of Danse's head when he's in PA. But I still don't see eye to eye with that robot.

So ok, my vote for who I want to kill the most?

The jerk that put that railroad drop in the GLOWING SEA, when the safe house is all the way across on the OTHER border of the map. Murder death kill candidate #1 right there.

Preston is great and has a good backstory (A show don't tell one).

Especially when using him alongside with Button.

Honestly alot of BOS members are good candidates ;) Especially some foots soldiers are incredibly arrogant.

@StormWolf: Curie is great after she got human, before this she's very clunky and stands in the way of corridors.

Which is exactly why I made Preston is killable when I found none of the existing mods actually worked.

Of course I could just leave him in the museum, but just the thought of him lurking there in my Commonwealth is too much trigger.

You know how some people are OCD about cleaning piles of leaves in their settlements, and will even break precombines to do so ? That's me with crap actors that is.

The irony of Unlock all Companions is so I can kill 'em. Kill 'em all. Except Curie (she cooks).

Edit: disclaimer this post may contain controversial or ironic content for the purposes of amusement and may not be entirely true at all.
