A Winchester lever-action toy rifle I found on the village's dumpsite in the woods. Its barrel was broken off. I was keen on it because I loved the series "Wanted: Dead Or Alive" with Steve McQueen as Josh Randall, who went about with a sawn-off Winchester in an adapted revolver holster. I 'repaired' the toy with a short piece of electric tubing in lieu of a barrel and some metal grey paint from my father's set he used for the models he made. This was mid to late sixties. I later swapped it for a plastic fake electric guitar. The plastic was so 'strong' the guitar became a bow when tightening the snares.

My Chemistry Set as a kid. * Evil Grin * .... >

I didn't think there was anyone else who had a chemistry set with over 300 experiments for 10 year olds and up. :geek:

I was partial to the TV show, "The Rifleman" and his Hubley flip rifle

No - Festus:

Ken Curtis was an American singer and actor best known for his role as Festus Haggen on the CBS western television series Gunsmoke.

Yes, there was also a Chester played by Dennis Weaver.

McCloud - Have Gun Will Travel - Sky King - Sea Hunt, to name a few.

I only got to watch the TV shows Mom liked to listen to while she did the housework.

I think I got a little bowl with some colored rocks and a Goldfish when Sea Hunt was a regular?

I looked it up. Nope! Sea Hunt was after the fish started floating upside down. Mom replaced the Gold fish with a wind up one.

I remember seeing the colored version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea on a color TV after everyone else saw in the theater. Before that show the big elders were talking about Deep Sea Divers. Then those Fantastic diving suits in the movie!

Sky King? I had to look that one up. Remembered WhirlBirds! Rescue with a helicopter.

Festus. I remember him too. Son's of the Pioneers.

Toys my kids ( long ago, when they were kids ) enjoyed:

LEGOS, which are still very popular today! My granddaughter who is 12 loves them.

Anyone remember " BIG WHEELS "? - Boy did my kids love spinning out and doing 180's and 360's on those.
