Tarocalypse
New to Vortex. I have successfully used its predecessor (easy to understand and very intuitive by the way) quite some years ago, with Skyrim SE loaded with well over 100 mods. Loaded Vortex onto the PC. Redownloaded SkyrimSE from Steam. Earnestly loading in mods. About 50. Resolved all conflicts, circularities etc. Clicked on the SSE icon in the top left of Vorex. SKSE64 Loader: Couldn't find SkyrimSE.exe. In settings my path was set to C:\. I added another path to hone right in: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition Still no go. Restarted the computer. Same error message. Attempting to run via the Vortex dashboard yields the same error message. Wondering what is up here. All help appreciated. HadToRegister
Sounds like you didn't install SKSE64 properly. If you have SKSE64 installed wrong it will complain about not being able to find SkyrimeSe.exeIt's best to do it manually by following the instructions in the SKSE64 7z file SKSE install [ Installation ] 1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim SE directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\. If you see files named SkyrimSE and SkyrimSELauncher, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod. The "src" folder is only useful for programmers, most users can ignore it. 2. Copy the .pex files in Data\Scripts\ into the Data\Scripts\ folder of your installation. The .pex files are needed by all users of SKSE.
