i have spent several hours trying different things. This is not my first experience with mods, and i have used curse client and other platforms for many years. this is very frustrating. ty for your persistence

Are the mods showing up in the game folder where they're supposed to be?

Where did you get Monster Hunter from, because some game services like Epic, Origin and Steam all put the files on your drive in different places and the extensions for certain game services haven't been updated to accommodate them yet
I know that was a problem with a couple of other games at one point

Steam and yes, the mods are showing up in the folder correctly. I was directed to Smart Hunter Mod by other steam users. So as far as i know this mod should work with the steam Client.

OK, did you read this sticky about Stracker's Loader on the Stracker's Loader page?

Update:
Vortex 1.2.0 that is currently on the testing branch installs Stracker's Loader correctly!


The below only applies to Vortex version 1.1.15 or older!

Due to the way Capcom has updated the game, Stracker was forced to use a different method to make the loader work which causes Vortex to not automatically put the loader files in the right folder any more.

We fixed this for the Vortex version that is currently on the testing branch. You have three options:

a) Manually install the loader files into the MHW directory

b) Install the loader via Vortex. Then, once it's installed double-click the mod to open the details panel on the right. Now scroll down and change the "Mod Type" to "dinput". Make sure to deploy your mods again (button in toolbar) That will ensure that the files are put into the game folder (rather than the mods folder).

c) Opt in to the Vortex testing branch Settings > Vortex > Update = Testing, as the 1.2.0 version of Vortex installs Stracker's Loader correctly.

I did not see the sticky, i opted for method C. Updated Vortex to Testing, installed new version of vortex, uninstalled and reinstalled Strackers Loader and deployed. Mods still are not functioning. BUT i do not see Strackers Loader in my Game Mods Folder. I do correctly see it in the Mod Staging Folder. Just not in the former folder. It should be appearing in Game Mods Folder along with Smart hunter, right?

I believe Stracker's Loader should be in the MHW directory, not the MOD directory

 

Once you move STrackers loader and its other files to the MHW directory, try deploying your mods again

I have the same problem.

First experience on Vortex, but I used Mods for many year on other managers.

Downloaded the mod, moved to the same partition of the game, applied, enabled... everything seems to be corrected... but when I launch the game there is no presence of the mod.

open your own thread - your issue is unlikely to be exactly the same as the thread you hijacked.

I thought the instructions were 3 fold respectively. I did not realize i had to move the Stracker files manually AND install the Vortex Test platform. i will try this. Thank you.
