Who is your favorite Marvel character?

Negatory black hawks are most definatly DC

My favorite marvel charcter is wolverine, followed closely by spider-man,

My favorite DC charcter is the joker. (not just beacuse of heath ledger)

I second this with heart. Indeed I like more Logan and Peter Parker than their alter ego although The Joker is meaningful just while... The Joker :)

Now, something I thought never saying "deep" is the Clark Kent (Superboy) and Lex Luthor characters in Smallville. Mainly this later is fantastic in this TV series I frowned the nose first time I saw advertised, and got gratefully surprised when actually seeing it.

But until now no single character did beat Logan (Wolverine) in deepness of concept and complexity, to me. But, again, almost every character can be turned deep or shallow and how many times we saw this happening?

Interesting is Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr (Max Eisenhardt or Magneto to most), although good enough to withstand by themselves, gains their very deepness when deal together.

Jean Gray: good concept that escaped control when turned Phoenix at a point was necessary to kill her :(

NightCrawler: difficult character, may become marvelous under a skillful plotter, shameful otherwise.

Batman... vide above.

Superman: Very good at being killed, at least :) had a good camel in the Batman's "The Dark Knight" (ops, these are DC, I think)

Groo the wanderer... That one is priceless (albeit I don't know where to place it in the comics universe business side).

And the list goes on...

Wolverine my second favorite, and I love Spiderman especially since the movies and Toby. And cmon did RDJr rawk the part of Ironman or what, that was enjoyable, especially here where my husband is a metal fabricator, and he could relate, I'd say Ironman is his favorite for sure, Maybe I'll get him a good Ironman for xmas. I may have to write the story of when Elektra meets Ironman... she's still alive y'know. :D

I always loved Storm..I mean come on! She just kicks arse! And looks so cool doing it. As far as the guys..love Gambit. I know his powers aren't the best..but a sexy-talking cajun? I always though if NFL quarterback Brett Farvre could act he could be Gambit!

hmm, yes and you did remind me Rogue; another difficult character that could get out control easily. Indeed, in her case, keeping her under control is the difficult part (to both, herself and the screenwriter), not because what she can do, mostly because what she can't. PS: I mean here she don't going crying wee girl or freaked female dog. Yet, well dosed, this is her main charm as personage.

Xmen began fragile but eventually evolved and introduced several good personages, including the original ones gaining personality. The same is valid to the peripheral and foes; with some of them almost surpassing the main ones. Yet Xmen's concept have a big potential to be trouble to itself. The writers know it, they even used the 'bad side' of mutations on the Calysto's gang, and had some bad experiences allowing powers escalating in dragon ball Z style...

Most "best characters" aren't the most 'powerful' (although some of them are). Often Wolverine's 'mutant powers' are confused with his skeleton and claws when indeed is that "cure factor" (and here between us... a (*&)** of a power :) ).

I'd have to say by far my favorite group is the X-men. It has all the best characters: Colossus, Nightcrawler, Gambit and my universal favorite Wolverine.

That group also seems to have most of the best villains, too. Magneto, the Juggernaut, the Sentinels, and Sabretooth.

This usually leads to the best battles.....
