mathorick Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Disable your hair mods and after you leave the cave at Helgen Keep re-enable your hair mods and use ShowRaceMenu Alternative to finish your character. Rabbit I have already done that but it stills does the same thing. Pick female charecter and it just CTD`s.
Jeir Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 It's most likely Apachii SkyHair. Run Skyrim without Apachii loaded until you get inside somewhere. You can then use the character customisation screen, or one of the makeover mods, to change your character's hair.

Oubliette Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Then it's time to go back to basics. Disable all of your mods, get into game, start a new character, pick female see if it crashes. If it doesn't, at least you know it's not the basic Skyrim that's the problem. Then enable your mods - one at a time and between enabling each mod, go into game, create a new character and see if you CTD when you pick female. Continue until the game crashes. Congratulations you've found your mod conflict. Good luck, at least your mod list isn't terribly long

Frostelis Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 It could be conflicting head textures or meshes,i had this sort of thing before and racked my brains how to fix it. Eventually i settled for Dibella's NPC's, Better followers and Callinete body mod (before that i had a bunch of other texture conflicting mods which crapped up my npcs'/ character's head mesh or/and textures so ahd to delete skyrim and start all over
