MidnightWolf
I am trying to create a new race. Every time i start a game as a member of the new race they appear as a disembodied white face. I've looked all through online forums and tutorials but i can't seem to find any information regarding this. Also,My morrowind folder doesn't have any icons or meshes at all. I recently installed the Bloodmoon expansion and found that it does have icons and meshes, so whenever i am creating, items, creatures, etc i am limited to using graphics from bloodmoon. Switch
Ah, you need to insert the TES Construction Set CD you got with the game, all the icons, meshes etc for the game are on there. Just right click it once it's in the drive, and click "Open" to view and extract the files.

Slaiv
Double-post'd!! The short version: Use 3dsMax to make a model for your race, and import it using the Construction set. The long version: I have no idea, since I've never done it before. Ask Peregrine.
cactoblasta
To add graphics you need to assign body parts to your new race. Have a look under the tab "body part" in the TECSC with Morrowind.esm a non-active but still open file and you'll see that every race that comes with the game (dunmer, nord etc) and every suit of armor (glass, ebony, chitin etc) has a large number of body parts attached. In order for your new race to appear properly, you'll need to either import body parts you've made yourself or make copies of the ones that are there. To use the existing body parts simply right-click one and change its name to something new - if you're creating a race called cactii you might call it b_n_cactii_[insert gender letter here]_[insert body part name here]. If it's not a beast race you'll need to add every single part that the other races have except the tail. So you'll need to add one of each of the following: ankle, chest, feet, groin, hands, hands.1st, knee, neck, upper arm, upper leg, wrist, possibly a tail, at least one head and at least one hair. If you want both male and female member of the race (recommended to avoid crashes in the character selection screen) just do the same but use a different gender letter. When you've created these new body parts your race should be visible. EDIT: As for creating entirely new body parts, that requires a copy of 3ds max 4 (although I've heard that 3ds max 5 can do it as well) and thus requires a great deal of money. There are parts out there on the net, mostly in other mods, but you'll need the creator's permission if you're going to use them in a mod, especially iif you want to put it on the net somewhere. A quick general tip is don't put basic races on the databases if they don't use custom textures or special scripting because people tend to be 'aggressive' towards basic content.
