Steam dont show running game when launched through Vortex

The title mostly say everything.

When i launch The Witcher 3 through Vortex, Steam dont show that I'm currently playing The Witcher 3 and the Steam Overlay does not work while in-game.

Here a picture of the Tool+pathing I use to Launch the game:

you set vortex as a non-stam game and run it through steam, then it all should work. Depends on a lot of things in vortex.

The thing is i want Steam to show that i play The Witcher 3 and not Vortex :sad:

 

IF steam does not see the game doing this? then the only way your going to get that is installing mods the fashioned way. and run the game directly from steam.

NOT: if you are running any kind of script extender, you can forget it, the games engine needs to be ran, not another program . some times some people including my self get lucky and steam allow game achievements IF i use the non-steam game application.

MO2 allow itt, make accommodates to log the game in through it's API.

I also run steam games through that application. but I never have much time to lay games anymore so it's really a crap shoot to get lucky.

I know for a fact it works with GOG games through MO2.

Look, you can and should use Vortex to install your mods. However, it is NOT a requirement to run any game through Vortex to use mods. After you have installed any mods, close Vortex and run TW3 the normal way. Same goes for any other game.
