Illiad86
You are more than welcome to, Graham :) If anyone else would like to as well, go right ahead :) Ah, just a quick one I whipped up. I'm thinking of getting a custom coffee mug, but now that I want one, I can't decide what I want on it :P http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv200/Illiana86/angrybirds.jpg I'm starting a more complicated anime drawing today. I think I got a good enough grasp of layers to do a really detailed one now. Probably won't be done until early next week though. Deleted54170User
I saw one of the Wacom Bamboo drawing boards. It's so small. Do you have a larger one? Your pictures look way to big to fit on that little pad. Is there a trick to it? If there is I might buy one and you can show me how to get started. Illiad86
It's the one I linked on my first post, the Bamboo Capture. Yeah it's small, I believe the "active area" on it is only 6x4 (the physical size of the tablet is 11x7) . The trick is the "active area" represents your entire screen (or to whatever portion of the screen you set it to in the options). You think of that little square as your entire screen when you are moving the pen around. You don't look down much at it anyways, so it's not as confusing as it sounds :P Their website has the manuals for each type, I read it quite a bit before I got my tablet in the mail. I dunno, I always have the "active area" set as my entire screen. I would guess setting it to a portion of the screen would be more favourable for HUGE images. I haven't draw anything that huge yet, so yeah haha :P I kind of wanted the Create, but it was way out my price range. It has a better pen (has an "eraser" on top), the pen on mine is very uncomfortable. I'm using my crafty little brain to figure out something to make it more ergonomic ;). I'm enjoying this little thing though, it's nice, quite responsive. If I didn't game, I would use it as my mouse as well. Well, my crowning achievement :D Just wish Photobucket would let me upload the original size, but it still looks nice: http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv200/Illiana86/kimonogirl.jpg The sakura portion of the kimono detail is hand drawn, the others are some nice PS brushes I found. Keanumoreira
Damn....that's nice. I especially love the drapery technique. Reminds me of some of Jan Van Eych's works. Keep it up; you're definitely improving.
Ihoe
Illiad86, Since I am unable to view the images (Good work probably BTW), can you tell me what sketching program do you use, if any?
Illiad86
Paint Tool SAI and I use Photoshop Elements 8 sometimes for specialized brushes. On hiatus for awhile, Path of Exile has got me hooked and my computer is out of commission til at least early next week (PSU died) :( I've been stuck using my smartphone for the past few days :P Edited January 31, 2013 by Illiad86
Illiad86
Something new. Been awhile...was busy helping my bf find a new job and other stuff. Finally finished this one up today: http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv200/Illiana86/animevulcan_zps85059491.jpg Hard to make a Vulcan look sexy when they always look so grumpy lol :P Oh, does anyone know where I can upload my pictures at full resolution for free? Photobucket limits them down so much :( Edited March 22, 2013 by Illiad86

AliasTheory
@ Illiad86 You can upload stuff on Imageshack. I use this place frequently for the no resolution limit. Or you could try just grab yourself a deviantART or something like that if you don't already have one. http://imageshack.us/http://imageshack.us/?no_multi=1 Might want to try the latter link if things don't work. Also, great-looking pictures. I'm always envious of people who can draw well. Edited March 22, 2013 by AliasTheory

You are really talented. :thumbsup:Thanks! :) @AliasAh, yeah I wondered about imageshack. I used to use it way back in the day. Photobucket is nice, I guess. They originally used to let you upload at full resolution...now they want you to get a membership and crap. Hate that :P Yeah, I'm in Star Trek mode. We finally watched all the series and now re-watching Star Trek: Enterprise over again. I was going to draw her in that type of uniform, but I like the Voyager/DS9 outfit more. What to do next, hmm? :P
