Any Tips on Replicating an Old NMM Load set in Vortex (and any more mod suggestions?)

TLDR: I was able to get 95% of the mods I already had installed in my older instance of the game installed from the nexus servers with Vortex. But a couple of the oldest ones (e.g., Faster Terminal Displays, jokerineveggiefoods, Eli's Armour Compendium [which is a dependency of Better Settlers CCAP]) seem to no longer be on nexus mods. Anyone know how I could find the Nexus Mod Manager equivalent of that Vortex mod staging folder so I can maybe get those last couple oldies installed from files?
I'm the guy who kept his summer 2017 "pre-Creation Club" build but hadn't played the game for years. Finally played it recently (still runs fine). Then decided to try for a second instance install of FO4 (along with a second F4SE and a separate mod set but this time managed with Vortex instead of NMM).
About the only real 'problem' I've seen so far: (a) both versions of F4SE seem to want to write files to the same directory (not a huge problem, and I can probably reconfigure that in F4SE?); (b) not sure, but it seems like there is at least one file which the two instances are sharing, something kind of .txt file, the name of which is now eluding me but I think something like "preview.txt".
I have switched between installing with Vortex to launching FO4 with NMM a couple times during the process of getting the second modded instance installed, and whenever I would open NMM, a bunch of the mods would be deactivated. Then when I'd close NMM and go back to Vortex I'd get this warning about a file being "write only" and having to give it permission to "fix" it. I guess it doesn't really matter if the contents of the file can get rewritten by the mod manager app+F4SE each time I switch between instances, though obviously this would make having both instances running simultaneously problematic.
I could not see how to export a load list inside Vortex' GUI, so I had to use powershell to write all the token names inside the mod staging folder instead. Pretty much the same

I think there may be one or two in that list which are actually deactivated.
As I said, my old pre-Creation Club build continues to work without problem, but I was intrigued by the "Another Life" and the "Seasons" mods and wanted to check those out.
I see that the mod ecosystem for the game has evolved a great deal, even though many of the most famous mods from two years ago remain very active. I see that there is this thing "Horizons" which sounds interesting. Any suggestions along those lines which would play nice with my list?

All you need to do is look in your NMM DOWNLOAD folder (If you still have it), and then drag and drop the archives into the Vortex Download Folder, or onto the "Drop Files Here" part of Vortex

Also, don't switch between NMM and Vortex.
Pick a mod manager and stick with it.

Also, if you haven't updated your game since your 2017 install then don't expect ANY mod that uses F4SE to work with your version

Right! I have two instances of the game, and my reason for using Vortex is to (a) use the more up to date version of the manager and (b) to use a different manager for the newer instance of the game.

Any idea what the default path for the NMM "download" folder is

Not going to work, because a mod manager will treat them both as one instance and make only ONE Plugins.txt

It's worth it to just upgrade the game, you can always install the mod that removes Creation Club, and the CC News from the main menu

Plus, you'll be stuck using an old version of F4SE and old mods

My first runs of Skyrim several years ago were with LE and NMM. This was my introduction to mods which I then used on a few other games. I was happy enough with this. When Vortex came out it was still not in its full version when I stopped playing Skyrim, so I did not load it.

When I returned to Skyrim a few months ago it seemed natural to go for the latest version of everything, so I turned to Vortex, which seemed to be ready. It took me a couple of days to sort it out, but since then everything has gone smoothly on that front. Every problem I have had I have been able to put down to a particular mod or the relationship between mods. I used to be a mainframe programmer, so I work through things as logically as I can, well aware of the rule that if it can go wrong it will (eventually).

I did not use any old files. Download the latest versions. Check the requirements and description. You will probably find mention of other mods you did not know about. If I go back to FO4 the same will apply. I have already uninstalled the game and removed all of the mods (partly for space), but I keep it as an owned game on Steam. As for saved games, these can be stored anywhere, just in case they may still work.

To HadToRegister: I have hardly looked at these Vortex forums because I had no problems with Vortex. I did not realise how much entertainment was to be had and how much could be learnt about some well-known (in this field) names.
