Vortex install Directory

I've been getting conflicting answers all over the place both here and from YouTube videos and channels.

1.) What, is the correct install path for Vortex?

2.) what is the correct install path for your mod directory & download directory?

I have most of my games on "F", but from some of the stickies on here, Vortex is really meant to go on "C" and not "F"?

But the Mod and Download directory is supposed to go on "F" where the games are?

I've uninstalled Vortex and reinstalled it multiple times and it still messes up with these paths, probably because I installed things incorrectly previously. I've even had Vortex install my Skyrim folder and path directories to Skyrim SE and every time I install it new it not only remembers some of my mods but their paths as well. I'm trying to go back to a clean install and it keeps letting me mess up.

So, without trying to get too confusing for an old man, can someone tell me how to clear everything without wiping my drive completely and then list the correct paths?

Something like: C:Vortex/programs Files/....../......./ "and so on" or C:Vortex/program Files/...../ ....../ (X86)

Or something like: F:mod/....../...../? or F:download/...../...../?

I apologize for being so frustrated, but, I just want to game not spend more time on setting up the game than I would playing the dang thing.

I've always used the default install and that is on a new recent PC build. My "C" drive is a 1T NVMe drive and my "F" drive is a 2T NVMe drive. So, how do I do a new "Clean" install/repair and get rid of any discrepancies from any previous installs? Take everything off and start fresh.

My main issue now, though, is that with each new re-install it not only pops up with all of my mods from all previous downloads that I cleaned out/removed/deleted but the file paths to everything as well, so uninstalling/removing/deleting doesn't seem to have any effect. This makes it really hard to set up the correct paths and/or "hardlink" to the correct paths. Basically, at this point, I've read so many different instructions and guides that I'm over done on confusion and I'm ready to stop gaming completely.

The YouTube instructions are helpful but Gophers videos are over 2 years back and the other guy, Gamer Poet, runs through things so fast that my head spins.

I have a Vortex in both Local and Roaming. Delete them both?

So, where should my mods be downloaded and installed. I thought that they needed to be on the same drive as my games?

Okay, this is something that I came across and not sure if it's ever been reported before.

In my efforts to deep clean Vortex before installing it or Skyrim LE again, I discovered a Skyrim "LE" folder in my Skyrim SE modding folder and the opposite with my Skyrim LE mods with a Skyrim SE folder.

I'm pretty sure that some files/mods meant for SE were getting imported into my Skyrim LE game. Wouldn't this royally mess up the game physics, putting a 64 bit mod in a 32 bit game?

It would more likely cause the game to not start or CTD
