Deleted85857468User
I know this might sound silly, but I purchased premium and my internet caps out around 13 MB/s which is nice. But with people working from home it'd be nice to set a cap so I'm not eating all the bandwidth (like 5 or 7 MB/s) Is there any way to do this? I can't find any setting for this. I know it's probably not a requested feature for vortex , but I'm just curious if it's available somehow. Thanks!

Deleted85857468User
I don't think that's speed, it seems to be to allow you to download multiple mods at once, but even with just 1 it's still maxes out.
HomerSparkle
Bandwidth throttling is done using a firewall. Your router may already have QoS service built in, but if not then you need to run your own firewall, firewall appliance, or dedicated QoS app. An easy but non-free solution would be NetLimiter. Alternatively you're looking at running a firewall appliance, either on its own hardware, or in a VM. There are many choices out there. One example is SimpleWall. Another is running Zeroshell on a Raspberry Pi. Pretty much any Linux distro on its own hardware or in a VM will do, but some distros are specifically designed as firewalls. You can go pretty deep down that rabbit hole. Game modding is trivial by comparison. Good luck.
