wayneout
I have installed Vortex on a new computer. I installed it on my D drive where my Steam is installed as well as the games. Vortex found my games with no problem. When you click on the "mod" tab, it says that I have no mods installed. When you click on the "plugins" tab, it shows all my plugins. I had copied my "Common" folder from Steam on my old computer and then pasted it into my Steam\steamapps folder. My folder called "My games" was copied from the old computer and pasted on my C drive under documents just like it was on the old computer. So this is the way I have it.Steam- D driveSteam games-D driveVortex D driveSaved games- C drive in folder Documents\my gamesI keep getting a message that says that "game should be started before installing mods" and something about an .ini missing. Everything should be as it was on the old computer. I had to fix the staging error but I think that has been done. Update: I am not getting the message about the .ini files anymore and starting the game before installing mods. Why does Vortex say that I have no mods installed but all of the plugins are there? But most important, does it matter as far as game play goes? Thanks
HadToRegister
Because you didn't copy over your C:\users\<YOUR NAME\appdata\roaming\Vortex folder where all of the mod and plugin info is stored
