ARatWithAHat
Hello guys, I've started modding on Fallout New Vegas and I'm trying to uplad a file but it says "There is already a file in the database with that name. Please change the file name." but I didn't even uplad a file yet, what should I do ?
cumbrianlad
I'd say take what the Nexus tells you as being true. There is already a file with that name. Have you checked Nexus Mods for 'Fallout New Vegas' and searched for the name you are wanting to use? You may just happen to have dupilcated one that's already there. Try changing your mod name to something else and see what happens. E.g, my mod is for SSE and called 'Riften View'. If that name is already in use, I'll need to think of another one, 'Riften Manor' for example.
JimmyRJump
It's fairly obvious, isn't it? Change the name of your plugin and folder so that the latter matches the former. Before trying to upload a file, always check if that same name hasn't already been used for an existing mod.
