JimmyRJump
It was fashion some years ago for AMD/ATI GPU users to get an NVidia card as second GPU for the PhysX parts of a game. Is that still valid? I have an old MSI 460GTX HAWK Talon Attack (2GB V-RAM) and was wondering if installing it next (or below) my Vega64 would still give a slight advantage for rendering PhysX. xrayy
i would say no. haven't found any recommendations in this direction in the last years. compared to a 460gtx a newer gpu is factor 10x or more faster than the 460gtx and i doubt that the additional rendering power of this old card is a win or in relation to the additional heat, power consumption, stability risks and the additional synchronization and data management overhead generated by such an unconventional combination. maybe interesting for you. but cards mentioned are much closer together regarding rendering power: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/discover/174682/using-older-gpu-as-support/
