Have added additions, in italic, to the end of every previously written story post, not those with notes. I suggest you read them from Post #1. They are all small and hopefully will be useful, and entertaining, for you. I did this for myself but I hope you appreciate what I have done.

Have changed the first few, recently added, subadditions so they become clearer to whom they refer to as the Celestibaby.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [23.1][24]

To make matters more interesting, zeroombie and mutighouler attacks had been increasing, in the Trenchzone, against the new alliance units. Other types of foes were soon to make their presence felt in that place. One of the few factors improving the odds was that those forces were prone to attacking each other.

Forceflyers shot low over the Trenchzone, in the semidarkness, driven by very quiet electrojets. In each a pilot-gunner, and copilot-attacker as in ground attack, were the flightcrew. Major Sarao was back in command, wishing heartedly that she could be out training in hard weather but she was needed to do what she did best; that is despite that she was a brilliant pilot of a wide variety of flyercraft, aircraft and hovercraft. They were out training, yes, but also seeking information of just what was going on out in the Trenchzone.

The wind was not much stronger than normal for the rainstorm was not also a windstorm. Otherwise the dartflyers would be grounded as would the hubcopters, sprintjets and jumpjets.

They turned away, to avoid a big creature leaping up into the air with a great roar of rage. Then the dragosaur, experimental cloned dinosaurs further mutated, began to flap its powerful wings even as it utilised its liftergas pods. It made a token effort to go after the too fast, to catch, dartflyers, and then turned away to fly off in a new direction Other dragosaurs rose up behind it and were soon following it as a dragopack of eighteen. They had come up, out of, a great open powergate and bright light flooded up through it even as the powergate began to close.

Just what else, of that kind, was going to come up out from the underground?

As if to answer that question in a very negative fashion, a pale blue-green pulsebeam shot out and one of the dartflyers vaporised. The two dead would be recloned, from daily recorded clone imprint-templates, but it was never quite the same with the newcomers. The two other machines peeled off even as they launched fire-forget missiles. There were two explosions as the projectiles had zeroed in on the source of the pulsebeam.

Sarao ordered them back to the SeekaCitadel and soon they were leaving the Trenchzone behind with great speed; with storm conditions worsening, they would have been soon cutting off the sortie anyway but hopefully with out the loss of one of three machines.

Dinosaur type dinoclones had been cloned using FactorX, the highly classified and mysterious catalyst, if it was that, and a variation of CloneX plus mutagel. FactorX was to be linked with multiple creations of the ASMM and its experimental programs-projects such as mutageltants. It was also linked, in ways, to ‘wild mutations’ such as mutiradtants. The trouble was in discovering the whole truth, the truth, and nothing but the truth when so much got in the way of doing so, both intentionally and as a result of uncontrolled events.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [24.1][25]

A tall, broad shouldered, PrimeElder Rowyn Maishan studied, using a 3Dwallscreen, one of the new discoveries made deep in the NewPentagon. It was a very large machine with a most curious purpose for it could create hybrid-electric replicas of a wide range of historical machines including a few invented in the year before Doomsday.

The second curious fact was that the machine, sitting on a completion platform in a preserved, protected, form was a mostly accurate copy of a WW2 German Tiger1 battletank, that is on the outside.

Seekaguard Subcaptain Josie Stanley was staring at the machine in awe. “It is in many ways a simplified version of a real historical Tiger1 battletank. It has a special version of an 8.8-cm antitank gun utilising German shell cartridges. It is a diesel-electric motorised machine of engine, generator, motor and batteries. The tracks, wheels and related tech are simplified but effective. It has thick armour with high quality deflective-reflective properties. The controls are ergonomic freelink and brainlink ones, as linked to a computer netsystem that certainly did not appear in WW2. It has 2 heavy machineguns as secondary weapons. It uses a crew of five but can also carry two others because the engine is half as small as the original type and there is more space even with the generator, battery, motor system being there. It is air conditioned, has noise suppression, has a cramped toilet cubicle and a very compact kitchenette along with two swing down bunks.”

Rowyn showed mild amazement on his face. “Very nice for the crew but why create such an odd machine?”

Josie shrugged her shoulders. “Could be to use a large scale NewHollywood movie of the USFG propaganda type. As in Frank Nero starring as GIZero, cyborg supersoldier, fighting the wicked Nazi zeroombie soldiers invading Poland. No connection with reality, of course, but why let facts get in the way of a dramatic story. Such a battletank could be used in propaganda parades, and displays, linked with the movie but also be part of an emergency back up force to use in real combat. The great big manufactory can produce one about two days each.”

Rowyn nodded. “They can be put to one side, being not so effective with urban or ditch warfare. Ammunition, spare parts, and other items can be procured or manufactured. What other vehicles are available to manufacture?”

She responded. “The menu has become ‘stuck’ somehow but there are the following; a basic small British scout car; a German Panther battletank; a German self propelled gun vehicle; an American Sherman type battletank by used by the British and adapted with an antilandmine ‘crab’ device; a large, British, armoured command truck, an American Sherman variant Skink with four 20mm autocannons; a twin heavy machine using Polish light battletank; a massive, multiple turreted, Russian battletank and a smaller variation, though still very large, of the same machine.”

The PrimeElder went over data, on the available vehicles and related matters. “With the menu system having to be fixed, we will need to manufacture two more of the adapted Tiger1 battletanks so that we can hopefully choose another to manufacture. That will give us three of the Tiger1s to put to one side.”

Rowyn responded. “I have the impression that there is much more to what your people have found, than propaganda driven 3Dmovies; the project seems to be overly hidden for such an explanation. Do what you can and report to me if anything unusual happens, that is even more so than has happened so far.”

Specialised Seeksalvagers found recyclable resources, in NewWashington areas closer to the SeekaCitadel. Big hybrid-electric armatrucks took junk, semijunk, to where it would be recycled being manned by Seekalogicers (logistics) and guarded by Seekaguards. Seekaflyers picked up salvage, at times, in armoured, armed, hubcopters but also fewer flyers being bigger than the dartflyers of the Maishanforce. Semijunk was sometimes used for parts, useful nonjunk was given over to depots to distribute. Predoomsday books, disks and other media was considered precious as were some kinds of working tech and almost working tech. At first few valuable items were found for accessible parts had been long gone over by scavengers and less so salvagers. It was soon time to go deeper into part collapsed buildings and to find troves buried under rubble.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [25.1][26]

Saraa sat surrounded by a portable computer station and a carefully organised crowd of creatures. Through holographic projections, her hextuplet sisters and second cousins were part of a meeting. They were all shown sitting down.

Armaroaches were smart enough to patrol through the artinatural (artificial natural) cave systems, often much smaller tunnels, around the base including around, beneath and less so above them. Quasiliving glowcrystal had allowed for easier exploration and the starting of the cultivation of glowshooms, mushrooms, mossgrass and glowmoss. Armamolerats had started making tunnels of their own and to dig burrows.

She spoke to Major Sarao of the Forceflyers. “The loss of even one precious dartflyer is a big blow to the Maishanforce but you are hardly to blame from a sudden, exotic, energy attack. One possible culprit are those tripodici with their exotic looking energy weapons. If any of them had reached the trenches, they could have fired at our flyers out of surprise or just malignant aggression.”

Sarao sat on a mat with a tough looking cat curled up in all lap looking incongruously cute and adorable. “That will make operations, in the Trenchzone, even more difficult. Perhaps they can use their energy weapons to reduce the number of mutighoulers, zombies, and other such threats.”

Sarae spoke from her holoprojection. “My Forcescouts are over stretched. We need more people, more robots and other gear. We have four squad13s, three squad4s and elements adding up to 56 others but most of those are needed for service-support; as it is their numbers need to be increased.”

Saraa sighed. “That goes for all type Maishanforcers. As it is we may need to convert some Forcetroopers to Forceguards focused on defensive duties unless we find more special resources to healthily cloneup more personnel.”

Shyla responded. “My Forcetroopers can become Forceguards, freeing up special gear for Forcetroopers to use.”

Saran, Major of the Forcelogicers of logistics, had a large unit looking after a wide range of service-support needs of the Maishanforce but was still pushed to carry out her duties. “We are all in need of expansion of resources despite more that has appeared due to the flashes and that which is now being made by our people. The Forcelogicer need more medical people, equipment and supplies; we were hoping to get some medivac flyercraft and the crews to go with them.”

Saraa spoke. “Our situation is slowly-steadily improving but perhaps a reformation, of the Maishanforce, will assist us.”

Shylo added her opinion electronically. “My Forcetroopers could be converted into Forcecavlers (cavalry troopers) to work with the Forcemechers directly with increased efficiency.”

Sarau responded as commander of the Forcemechers. “A very excellent suggestion allowing our trimechas to be more useful, the Forcecavlers having moderately specialised gear including powerarma.”

Arrangements, inside the Maishanforce, changed in some ways. Saraa remained the Marshal in overall command, Sarae went on as major of the Forcescouts, Sarai continued being major of Forcetroopers as did Saran of the Forcelogicers, Saray went on as major of the Forcerangers, Sarau the Forcemechers and Sarao the Forceflyers, Shyla became Major of the new Forcecavlers and as Shylo came to command the new Forceguards as a major.

Then news arrived, from the StagingBase, that appeared to have changed matters for the better for the SeekaOrder and the Maishanforce.

*****

The MaishanHextuplets were only semiconsciously aware of changing so as to become much closer to each other as one entity of semiautonomous individuals but it was happening not just to them but to others. In that sense they were becoming a special part of the growing Multiunity of the Seekaclones. The second cousins were forming, blending, into another such entity but with some differences to that of the hextuplets. Such variations were normal being a kind of individuality in its own right.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [26.1][27]

The special taskforce, of Seekars led by Seekatroopers, entered the StagingBase and found there peaceful non activity. That something dramatic had happened was evidenced by some scorch marks on slowly self repairing smartconcrete and there being Seekars in slowhealcapsules.

The main information, immediately available, was a lot of neatly printed books, disks and other form of recordings. They were in a set of massive, bookshelf, like fixtures melded to one wall with semienclosed balconies, rampways and elevators to give access. Catalogues were provided by 3Dcomputer terminals. Clearly some faction wanted the Seekars to be well prepared for their explorations into the NeoPentagon.

The whole name of the ‘StagingBase’ was a lie for it was part of a far larger complex from which the cloned Seekars had originated from including the supercybclones now being formed into their own special unit. There were CVRC s (cloning virtureality capsules) where clones grew while being permanently virtulinked into SSSVR realms of sustaining, teaching, training and other types of support including links with each other.

There they found reinforcements in the form of superclones, along with supercybclones, in statuscapsules along with other types of superclones yet to be shown. There were not only large amounts of E&S, including specialist items, but also the means to manufacture more and to store it neatly using autorobotic warehouse chambers.

The StagingBase became recognised as part of the newly discovered NeoPentagon. The manuals were an excellent starting point of the learning of the great complex and they showed, through maps and other directions, where other data could be accessed. The expeditionaries activated the big supersmartcomputer netsystem of secondary subnetsystems, edge of complex seminetsystems and outreach deminetsystems. The results were that the NeoPentagonis Netsystem Prime was assisting the expedition through the use of autorobotics, remotebots and more independent robots. Security turrets, open surveillance, hidden surveillance and other devices assured the newcomers that they were the only ones there except for encapsulated clones.

Colonel Ashanti was the commander of the expedition but was supported by a small, strong, team of bodyguards, aides and secondary commanders. He went on leading the taskforce as it went on searching the NeoPentagon that never seemed to have limits either going horizontal or up-down to other levels.

*****

The NeoPentagon was truly ‘pentagon’ shaped but that pentagon was on its side, was vertical as opposed to the older horizontal ones; that is the restored OldPentagon of OldWashington or the relatively newer NewPentagon of NewWashington. Why the difference was a mystery but one that had a practical, logical, scientific answer to it.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [27.1][28]

In the increasingly heavy rain the SAM, surface to air missile, shot towards a large SeekaOrder transport hubcopter. At once into went into evasive patterns even as counter measures were launched such as jamming signals and antimissile missiles. The SAM exploded mid air, doing no damage at all to the hubcopter.

Seekascouts were soon trying to discover the source, of the attack, on foot in powerarmasuits. They made their way, as two squad13s, through an area of former clothing boutiques, fashion salons, hairdressers and other establishment serving both decadent women and effete men of the late decades just before Doomsday. They were the Dandies, and Dandiettes, of corruption obtained wealth, overly expensive consumerism, and extreme addictions. The Seekaclones were quite surprised, and disturbed, at some of what they saw.

The SAM launcher was fixed to the back of an atomic electric hoverlimo (hover limousine) of over stretched proportions. It had been loaded with four mid quality military missiles but all were now launched, by the look of things. Around the hoverlimo were the few remains of humans and their bizarre gear.

The squad13s moved carefully towards the fanjet hovercraft, keeping to each side of the street for better cover. Moments before the ambushers tried to spring their trap, the supersoldiers struck. Mutiradtant type mutihumans, rough hard skinned and hairless, were shot down as their heat signatures were revealed through thin walls. Battlerifles exploded into action and powerarma superstardclones dropped into crouching positions. There was a spattering of firepower from the enemy and then the survivors, most of them, were fleeing back deeper into the buildings.

They were very close to the edge of the Trenchzone, so much so that one half collapsed building had fallen into a large trench. Thus they saw a jet of disturbing, glimmering, zerogas shoot into the air. Then there was a sharp flash of intense flames like a napalm explosion and the zerogas was burned away. The Seekascouts had no idea at what had happened there.

Dead ambushers were found and were soon identified, from emblems on crude body-armour, that they were gangers named the GrandMaulers. According to locals, talked with by Seekaclones, gangers were very territorial but were of different sizes and levels of threat. The GrandMaulers where somewhere in the lower middle range of size and even lower designated as a threat.

It was impossible to ascertain if the GrandMaulers had fired off the SAM or not so as to draw Seekaclones into an ambush.

The rainstorm’s growing power led to the recon supersoldiers returning to the nearest fortified outpost where they had come from.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [28.1][29]

Days passed! The bulges grew more quickly than predicted, with all the females made pregnant by the first known flash of energies that had taken places in the Trenchzone. It turned out, after careful scientific-medical investigating, that the pregnancy durations would take six months instead of the traditional nine months for nonclone women. Having shorter gestation periods was not expected to cause any harm but precautions were being taken anyway.

Saraa was annoyed that there was no such thing as a maternity powerarmasuit and ordered the design, and manufacturing, of some. When this idea was queried she was decidedly not polite in her response. Mothers, and unborn children, would need protecting in future.

Cableporters, as made more secure and safe by the Celestibaby’s influence, were sending special suited couriers back-forth between the four accessible destinations. People, and other lifeforms, moved in special protection cableportcabs being wheeled vehicles of small, medium and large size; this process lowered energy costs.

Seekaclones were emerging, in the NeoPentagon, as young adults. They would be ‘visiting’ the virtureal domain that they had grown up with and so would those who had arrived previously, such as Saraa herself. The surprise there was that the central virtureal characters were special virtuclones virtulinked to the virtureality of SeekaRealm. These CICs, Clone Interactive Characters, were backed up by a far larger number of AI driven NPCs (Non Player Characters).

The SeekaOrder grew quickly in size, general capacity, and versatility. The supercybclones were being formed into a new Cybforce of ‘super special forces’. Cybtroopers, Cybrangers, and Cybscouts were soon established as the basis of the three primary Cybforce type units.

The rains kept getting heavier and the winds started to pick up in power. The SeekaOrder, including Maishanforce, aircraft were grounded. All other units pulled back into fortified positions including, of course, the bases. Only underground, and inside, were normal activities continuing.

*****

There started, at this time, a habit of calling all such superclones and calling what had been known, as superclones, as superstardclones, ‘stard’ being a shortened form of ‘standard’. Yet were all superstardclones, as originally classed as such, really standard. Also even the standard superclones were increasingly enhanced of mind-body-spirit as if the ‘flashes’ had started a process still continuing. Emerging were superphaseclones, superpsyclones and others yet to define enough so as to be officially labelled.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [29.1][30]

Banjosas, with Whitepalebaby, made her way through trench tunnels below the trenches of the Trenchzone. They were in the Trenchzone as they passed rainstorm water falling down from big gridworked drainage holes in the actual ditches. Water flowed strongly along big, wide, flood canals. Solidstate fluroflats illuminated the tunnels as mutirats, and smaller rats, scuttled along them as if escaping from danger?

The ditch tunnels did not cover the whole area beneath the actual ditches but did so much of it along with chambers, vents and other spaces.

Below that was another layer but of traditional NewWashington type utility networks including sewerage tunnels, processing centres, flood regulation chambers and much else, some of it being quite odd such as the whirlpool chambers.

Banjosas doubted it was rising water for the flashes caused changes seem to have taken care of that threat. The small, chubby muscular, one yawned and stretched in his pouch. Then he spoke. “Got to talk to the MaishanHextuplets, especially Saraa. She knows, even if she does not know that she knows, important secrets. Celestibaby contracted the cloning of the Seekaclones with some help.”

The information had come bursting out and Banjosas simply smiled calmly though he was surprised. “Do you know who helped her?”

He nodded. “A PaleOneMan who is now her PaleOneDad as he is the dad of lots, and lots, of others including me. He contracted the one known as the PaleThreeCloner who is of the PaleThreeConductiva. The PaleOneCloner did not want payment because that PaleThreeOne greatly appreciated the challenge.”

The PaleOneDad was suddenly there, with a soft shimmering, almost as if he had always been there as a Demicestrial. “One meant to make direct contact with you Banjobanders but much has been happening that has taken one’s attention. The rats are running from enslaved tripodici and hexinoids, being less of the former than the latter.”

Banjosas frowned. “Yes, the Banjobanders know of them as some of our nanodrones found them before the tripodici detected our tiny spies and destroyed them.”

Tripodici were dangerous even with out being turned into mindslaves being deep oceanic creatures by origin. Though they were still so, by preference, they had become more flexible as they advanced in scitech and then bioengineered themselves through a series of developmental stages.

The PaleOneDad nodded. “The higreyliens could have mindslaved the captive tripodici and hexinoids but it is not what they would usually do except in the case of the Greyzari who are amongst the very worst of the higreylien castes, which is saying a great deal.”

Whitepalebaby beamed happily at this idea. “We must find the cheeky chops Rainbowbaby, the lost Celestitoy and the Rainbowtoys created for the Rainbowbaby by the Celestibaby.”

*****

Yes, the undeathly turned Greyyari had been all powerful, disciplined but not truly wise Triotrutrary of the three grand castes and multiple lesser ones. From the Desolation Event had come disturbed Triotrutrary survivors, insane Greyyari, berserker Bloodbary and who knew how many other variations of the Desolary.

[1] Trenchzone Troubles [29.2][31]

Banjosas smiled. “So now we may have the answer to what so many species are being drawn to.”

Whitepalebaby shook his head. “Something bad, twisted, unclean is doing that which the Celestibaby created by mistake trying to fix up one made by the Rainbowbaby who was trying to help a damned one. The damned one has become affixed to an ancient alien artefact of the evil Nestrocco who the Celestigods erased from timespace a very very very very long time ago.”

The PaleOneDad took out a very small teddybot type robot and gave it to the small one. “As promised, sweetie Whitepalebaby! I must return to NeoPentagonis to make that he, and his progeny, are okay in the NeoPentagon. I suggest that you visit and, of course, bring the wonderful Whitepalebaby with you.”

Whitepalebaby hugged his new toy to himself that was much more than just a toy but he knew that and Banjosas sensed it to be so.

A horrific scream echoed along the tunnel that was a mixture of many distorted human voices of heightened terror, rage and other extreme emotions. The three of them knew that the a phantasm swarm was coming towards them, provoked into terrible, temporary, existence by the presence of undeath. Zombies were shambling, staggering, swaying along the tunnel. Soon they were battling the translucent, distorted, human like phantasms in a terrible, unreal, battle.

As for Banjosas, Whitepalebaby and PaleOneDad, they had decided to take a quick visit to NeoPentagonis in the NeoPentagon.

*****

NewWashington became a temporary magnet for exotic, powerful, factions from offworld, outworld, sideworld and inworld. The good factors were that they were relatively small in size, were not after local factions of mortal existence and often countered each other, mitigating each others’ impact on NewWashington. It was too bad that there were a few bad aspects to what was happening though also neutral ones.
