Subnautica doesn't stay open - it flashes open then shuts itself down

I've just started to use vortex - never used before, 8 mods, when I try to launch the game I see the icon on my taskbar then it goes away. If anyone can help with this so I can test my mods that would be great!

Sorry im on vortex 1.2.11, 16g RAM (15.9 usable) and x64 bit.

Have you installed "SML Helper"?

 

That is required by all the mods.
Also, some mods are really old and outdated, you can go as far back as December 14th 2019.
So check the LAST UPDATE date on the mods.

I do have SML Helper and all my mods are up to date or made in May-April

I have reinstalled all mods, disabled and enabled them all and chose hardlink for deployment. I do not think there is anything I can do that I know of.

Hmmm, I have 80 mods installed and I'm not having a problem.

You have the Mod Staging Folder on the same drive as the Game?

Is it from Xbox PC, Steam, Epic, or?

You have the Mods Enabled on the Mods tab?

Check the EXTENSIONS Tab, and make sure "Game: Subnautica: is Enabled

All mods enabled, mods folder is on the same drive, game is on epic and Subnautica is enabled

Subnautica can not launch using the .exe file. Thank Epic DRM.

It either has to launch using the Epic launcher or use launch time option -EpicPortal.

Good to know that the 32 games I've gotten for free from Epic (so far), are not going to work with Vortex due to DRM.

 

Dammit.
