TotallyNotToastyFresh
Hi, this is a thread describing my first public mod for Oblivion. It's a house mod for evil oriented characters, set in an old cathedral once inhabited by a small group of Daedra worshipers called Dark Vengeance. I was mucking around with some armor textures one day, and I got it finished and decided to include it in a house mod. It will contain the usual house mod stuff, like a bath, armory, etc. and a small basement area containing the armor full of undead and other evil stuff that Bethesda decided to drop into random places such as this. Here's a screen of the armor, as it is right now. I will probably do a retexture of the steel helmet, and maybe the elven claymore.http://img19.picoodle.com/img/img19/3/12/10/f_ArmorScreenm_af29b41.jpg So, any suggestions, as in rooms I should put in? Thanks. :) UPDATE: I have finished modifying and texturing a weapon, based on the Mehrunes Razor mesh. Here's a pic:http://img34.picoodle.com/img/img34/3/12/10/f_WeaponScreem_fac1965.jpgPlease give C&C.
alex2avs
You could also retexture the interiors if you didn't do that ;)
TotallyNotToastyFresh
Yes, that is a good idea. It's a bit odd seeing pictures of the nine divines in a dark and evil cathedral. I was going to texture the windows on the roof to have a red hue rather than a blue one.
AlienSlof
Bump to show update, see top post. EDIT: I notice I've been reported. Who did that? It's been reported because bumping is frowned upon. It adds nothing to the topic. Please refrain from doing it. wasder
I recognise thet helm... Lost Paladins of the Divines? If not, it's very similar. What daedra did these guys supposedly worship? And secret rooms and passages make for the most interesting houses.
TotallyNotToastyFresh
I recognise thet helm... Lost Paladins of the Divines? Haha, I was waiting for someone to say that. No, I did do it myself, I edited the steel helmet, and I did get the idea from LPotD. The LPotD one is considerably larger, and the visor is much smaller. Well, I've been thinking of the story for a while now, and I've decided that it will be something along the lines of a cult that was formed by a certain person who went insane from witnessing the wrath of someone who had displeased Molag Bal. This person started this cult, making people believe that death is the whole purpose in life, and is practically their definition of heaven. This cult believes that they are giving up dying, and sending other people to their deaths. So they consider themselves going out of their way for other people. Yeah, I know it needs some refining, but it's a start. :P I haven't done a lot on the actual cathedral yet, but I've been retexturing things for furniture to go into the cathedral. Things like tapestries, bedspreads, etc. Some screens of some weapons and other stuff I've been making;http://img33.picoodle.com/img/img33/3/12/12/f_ScreenShot8m_7980d38.pnghttp://img19.picoodle.com/img/img19/3/12/12/f_ScreenShot9m_2880396.pnghttp://img19.picoodle.com/img/img19/3/12/12/f_ScreenShot1m_7395d01.png There will be several versions of each weapon. Rusty, which will be found in old Dark Vengeance dungeons wielded by skeletons and have a rust texture. Replica, which will be available in shops if players just want one to mess around with that have low stats. Fine, which will be wielded by your fellow cultists. And legendary, which you will have to search dungeons for, and will be enchanted. The weapon list consists of these: The katana, pretty self-explanatory, just a bit different-ish. The Butcher, a bit like an oversized chef's knife. A bow, with several kinds of enchanted arrows. And also the Relic, which will only be available in legendary and replica versions, a powerful sword wielded by the founder of the order himself. There may be more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Armor consists of a DBhood based armor, which I'm calling Shrouded Vengeance. You will be able to buy this off Dark Vengeance merchants, which will be found in the cathedral. This is the basic Dark Vengeance armor. Then there will be the legendary Dark Vengeance relic set, pictured in my signature. It will be enchanted. That's all for now, I'll post some more later.
