My second wave options: damage roulette, new economy, world diversity, high stakes, itchy trigger tentacle, red fog, absolutely critical, liberators, results driven, aiming angles

 

The version I'm using the Beta 9a.

 

Should I just install the Beta 10 and start a new campaign?

I am doing a playthrough on Normal Ironman (with only Hidden Potential as Second Wind option) and the first covert mission is coming up in less then one day, but when i hit the scan for activity button the game freezes for a second and crashes to desktop. I tried again but it still crashes at exactly the same time. There is also a request expiring the same day. I am posting the ending part of the launch.log file.

I am also experiencing crashes when the first covert mission is coming up, but I don't have have any other requests expiring on the same day.

I am playing on classic / ironman mode with both strict screening and hidden potential as Second Wave options. (Using beta 10 version)

hey guys, thanks for your feedback -- we know. we address all this over the in mod's beta subforum, accessible through the mod page interface, forums tab.

 

@ Glavkomat -- I don't recognize that bug, and yeah, we're really only able to support the latest Beta (which has a host of problems we're working on). You might try all the troubleshooting steps in the mod description.

Hi Guys.

Loving the work on this mod, thanks a bunch for throwing life back into the game and sucking hours of my life away in a quite enjoyable way .

However I've kicked up a problem I've been trying to solve all day and I can't quite seem to get my head around it. Damaged firestorms seem to hang at 0hrs repair time and never return to active service.
Anybody know a fix? or encountered the same problem?

Really appreciate the help.

Hello, and awesome job with the mod!

Just here to add the report that when the first covert mission is about to complete, the game crashes.

I see that other guys reported it, too; I didn't pick any second wave option, and I'm playing Long War EW.

Putting this here so it doesn't clutter actual official threads. Stupid question, but:

 

Is it possible to keep only the XCOM weapons, armour, class and so on aspects of Long War without changing the aliens side of it? The more I mess with Long War, the more I realise I LOVE the added variety and complexity on the player-side. However, I'm a terrible player and the extra difficulty from the larger alien spawns and much more difficult aerial combat is crushing me into the ground. I call this a "stupid question" mostly because I highly doubt this is possible in any practical sense, but it doesn't hurt to ask, I hope.

 

I'll say it again, though - Long War is a massive, impressive effort amounting to essentially a brand new game sharing art assets with XCOM. That is definitely commendable.

I'm afraid we really don't have the resources to modularize the mod or maintain multiple versions with different feature sets.

 

I'd just recommend playing normal - not-so-long-war - cinematic mode, and editing DGC.ini to your tastes.
