BlazeStryker
MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE-- This, THIS is why we all HATE the Crap Kaka (C K) so much. I unclicked everything but the masters for the setup;id *&(^(*)&O^)*&^) mod, namely Skyrim, Update, The Notice Board, and Open Cities, since the *(&^IO(*&^(*&^)*^ patch is a &^^(&*)(%^&*()*&O patch for The Notice Board and Open Cities. Now, tell me, in short, simple steps how to get the (*&Y^(*&^(*&^%$%&^ patch to (&^*(*&%()&*%$(&^$% LOAD or tell me another way than Crap Kaka (CK). Edited June 16 by BlazeStryker Added detail. Are you laughing? Are you laughing at me?? LAUGH, YOU ^(*^(*&%^)(%&(*^)%$ I SAID LAUGH!!! Now, done? Good; TELL US HOW TO CHANGE THE &*(^%(*%^&%(* FORM VERSION!!!!!!!!! 7531Leonidas
If I remember correctly, you simply unselect all masters, then just check the mod as master that you want to load. Open the mod, and push to data file, or something similar. Once you have pushed it back into the game, the form should be changed. CK is supposed to automatically load any masters required, similarly to xEdit. I have not used the newest CK yet, just the older Beth version. BlazeStryker
I'll try. Then I'll cry, I expect. Interesting. Crap Kaka says that the patch is ESL-capable but Wrye Bash disagrees.
wfandrews
Is the CK only available thru Steam?
7531Leonidas
Don't know about CK availability elsewhere, I am still running on 1.6.640, and avoid using the CK at the moment.
BlazeStryker
SSEEdit has a much safer script. Pick the problematic plugin in regular SSEEdit, right-click and apply script, then scroll to... update form number. That's it.
kryten397
CK is only avaiable for steam version of game and can only be downloaded from steam store. I dont know whats difficult about loading a plugin into the creation kit and saving it to update form version and file headers. Its probaly the simplest thing you can do in the CK. Dont use SSEedit, CK is only thing that will do it properly.
scorrp10
Unfortunately, CK has a potential to do other things 'under the hood' when you save an esp in it. Harmless in most cases, but sometimes it can mess things up. Sometimes, even with latest CKPE, trying to load a plugin can crash CK. This worked for me just fine before: Right-click a mod in SSEEdit Choose 'Apply Script' In Script dropdown, choose 'Update Records Form Version' Make sure those are set accordingly: const FV_Check = 43; FV_Set = 44; Click OK to save and run the script. wfandrews
This is a great way to change the form of older mods, thank you very much for posting this. I have two questions; I have a couple of mods which I have been using for years and which actually run fine but I would like to change the form of them, their form is 42. Can I just change the FV_Check from 42 to FV_Set 44? This is probably a dumb question but I do not know what you mean by "run the script", how do I do that or does that happen automatically when you click OK? I am playing SE AE GOG version 1.6.1179.
