Elsarian
Which province do you hope to see featured in the next TES games?! Summerset Isle is one I think I may like. It sounds utterly beautiful. Plus, elves ROCK. Long live the Altmer. Though, I don't know how terribly much I like the idea of the game being set on an island, so I think Valenwood has my vote, because wood elves are just awesome and one of my favourite TES races. Plus its supposed to be really foresty. I like forests! Black Marsh I think would be an AMAZING setting and land to explore, though it might be difficult to do because of how wild and swampy it is, and it's supposed to be extremely difficult for non-Argonians to survive there. Though I'd love Beth forever if they found a way to do it. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/laugh.gif It might be cool if they remade High Rock and Hammerfell, since they haven't been seen since the super oldie games (which don't really provide a good representation anyway since all the terrain was randomized). Personally, I think a remake of Morrowind (the province, not the game) would be amazing, featuring the WHOLE province, not just Vvardenfell. Like, in the wake of the volcano disaster, the Dark Elves are trying to rebuild, take back their land and beat back the lizard people. Wicked. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/b/be/TamrielWorldMap.jpg Looking at that map, I can clearly see a few distinctions between what could be a full game, and what could be an expansion. Let me elaborate: First, if you look at Cyrodiil and then Skyrim, it's strange as to how similar they are in size as if it was almost done on purpose. Looking at Vvardenfell, we can also make this distinction. Now, look at Cyrodill's western border. Hammerfell is a barren and rocky place, the vast Alik'r desert taking up most of it, with fertile grassland only on the coasts. As such, the major population centers are on the coastline, while the majority of the country is inhabited only by shifting sands and nomadic tribes. In the north are the Dragontail Mountains, home of the misunderstood groups of Orcs reviled by many Bretons and Redguards, thus it would be a good province to set a whole new iteration of the series in. Now, if we look at a province like High Rock, which is a province in the northwest section of Tamriel. The coastal region is temperate and covered in loose forests; inland, it becomes more rocky and mountainous. Most of the province is inhabited by the Bretons, who have divided the province into multiple Breton city states and minor kingdoms. The southern tip of central High Rock also contains Orsinium, the City-State of the Orcs. High Rock encompasses the many lands and clans of Greater Betony, the Deselle Isles, the Bjoulsae River tribes, and, by tradition, the Western Reach. The rugged highland strongholds and isolated valley settlements would make for a rather interesting expansion and/or new game. Any thoughts on what I've said here? -Elsarian

Jodi79
There are rumors about an hammerfell dlc for skyrim. if that's true is quite impossible that beth will use that region for the next game. I hope in Summerset (Long Live the Altmer  ), but just if beth implement functionally boat. Another region i'd like to see is Blackmarsh, maybe with an Elsweyr dlc (oblivion's anequina satisfied me) anyway i think we'll see TES6 not before 4\6 year

jhncanson
This might be a coincidence that guards are commenting about red guard mercenaries in skyrim.. but if you do think it this way... hammerfell is under siege of the aldmeri dominion.. now.. the last thing the redguards would want is skyrim falling to the hands of aldmeri... right now skyrim is under the protection of the white concordat signed by the imperials.. This maybe a plot of the redguards to strengthen or boost the morale of the nords in skyrim to fight against the opressor and maybe try to reason with the empire itself to join them.. This is should be a good extension to the civil war.. Tamriel would be one by one,, reunited.. until such time.. they would launch their own invasion.. and that would probably be the next setting for TES.. I know this isnt the best theory made... but hey,, its a theory.. until proven otherwise.. only time will tell

ilikecheese1337
ESO isn't being made by Bethesda, and it's been confirmed that Bethesda is continuing the ES series. Probably not for a while though. Anyway, I vote The Elder Scrolls VI: Elsweyr. Purely so that there can be a quest entitled "Elsewhere in Elsweyr".
Arcadiast
regarding the game world size, according to some sources its 14.3 sq miles in real world units. Thats the size of a medium town. Tamriel is supposed to be a Continent appr. 6,5 times the size of Great Britain. So Skyrim is appr. 1/7 of Tamriel that means it should be nearly as large as Great Britain which is nearly 250 000 sq km (appr. 160000 sq miles). That means that the Skyrim game world is a "Modell" of the Lore Skyrim world in a scale of 1/11000. Whats with all these numbers? well that means that the world size limitation is not coming from Lore (Skyrim could be 11000 times large in game and still be very lore friendly) but from Hardware and or software limits, programming and cost limit, time and space (imagine the size of the game on "disc" if the world was original size with all the details) limit etc. (quite a lot limitations really). So even if Bethesda decides for the next TES game to take the smallest part of Tamriel (elsweyr or High Rock) they could still make the game world size twice as big or even bigger than Skyrim without really breaking any lore but the "hearts" of a few gaming "enthusiasts" (you can bet on at least somebody whining about why Skyrim is smaller than elsweyr or high rock when it should clearly be not according to the map of tamriel). The numbers may or may not be correct though, I gathered them around internets but even if they are not correct, sheer logic demands that a country on a continent can not be just as big as a "University Campus".
