Bjornheim
I myself have ONLY played 1 female nord, 5 male nords, and 1 khajiit but only for about 15 levels. I have had many characters because my save files have been corrupt many times untill recently I finally lookt up some useful tips on preventing corrupt saves, like typeing PCB after a while in-game or after a loading screen. And clearing up my saves folder and disable auto-save. Right Now I have a very good save, no random ctds cause of save corruption, but I do get ctds sometimes but I think it's not cause the save got corrupted, but because I found some bug in the game. Like sometimes, If I shout at the right moment when there is lots of glow or light sources in a fight, then the game will mayby freeze, like if im shouting Yol tor shul at a frost dragon that is shouting at the exact time as me, then because of the global glow effect on the screen, my skyrim will freeze. So anyway, I have prefered male nord because hes on the wallpaper, the trailer etc. I personaly dont think any beast race should be a dragonborn and especially not one of those filthy lieing snake-tounge elves! I have yet to fully complete the imperial vs Stormcloak quest, but when I wiill bother with it, I will choose the stormcloaks, cause nords are nords, and nords dont bow to some weak cyrodiil politicians. Bosmer racials look like fun, but they are ugly, lol. Edited January 5, 2013 by Bjornheim
Hyacathusarullistad
Most of my playthroughs have been Nords of Khajiit, but I've also done two Imperials, a Wood Elf, an Orc, and one High Elf that I got sick of around level 20.
FiftyTifty
Dark Elves. They are weak in combat, but not so weak that combat is no fun. They can use magic, but they are not ALL THAT good in utilizing it. They also have a charm that I can't resist. Always played 'em when given the choice in other games. However, after downloading a child mod from Lover's Lab, I'm currently playing a Redguard child. It's brilliant. The nerfing really makes combat dangerous yet fun. arcanewizard
i always play as a breton and pretty much am a cloth wearing mage but i do use a crossbow and occasionally a sword just for fun but mostly use magic so breton is good for that. Jeir
Morrowind: Imperial, then eventually a 'Stone Elf' (modded race). I think I briefly played a Dunmer, just to see if my main modded companion would react to her.Oblivion: Imperial, then 'Epic Elf' after trying out a few other races.Skyrim: Imperial. So...Imperial, or 'modded'. =D
ShadCroly
I had the same game corruption issues the OP had, so I've had a number of characters, and most of them were Breton. Out of all of the human races, Bretons have the facial structure I like the best. I've honestly tried to branch out into other races, Khajiit and Orcs mainly, but for the life of me I just can't get them to look how I'd like them to look, and in the end I just scrap the character and make another Breton. I'd like to make one of the elf races, but for one reason or another I don't (can't get rid of the wrinkly-look on the dark elves, can't reduce down the high elf's stupid Jay Leno chin, and all of them feel like they have way-too-prominent cheek bones). Kanarus
I've played Nord, Dark Elf, High Elf, Redguard, Imperial, and khajiit of both Genders. Argonians are just to weird looking for me even more so then Khajiit haven't gotten around to making Breton or Wood Elf yet. P.s. Use this Mod ShadyCroly it really makes the Elves less ugly especially the males. Tzontlimixtli
I usually end up playing as a Dunmer or an Argonian. I quite like the "ugly" look of the elves. To me they just look like they're actually another species, instead of pointy-eared people, which makes it seem more real for me.
Ragicka
I started as Breton but lately I've been playing as a Nord for the 50% frost resistance.
